I've got a Centrino laptop with a 2.0GHz CPU running at 533 FSB.
'cat /proc/cpuinfo' shows:
[rodd@localhost ~]$ cat /proc/cpuinfo
processor : 0
vendor_id : GenuineIntel
cpu family : 6
model : 13
model name : Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 2.00GHz

Stepping seems to suggest that the CPU can scale through 8 step, but the
GNOME CPU frequency selector only offers 5 steps (800, 1.07, 1.33, 1.6
and 2.0) and not 8.
Why is this (and should I bugzilla it)?
