poppler soname bump in Rawhide

Hi,

I've prepared rebase of poppler to 26.08.0, in the side tag 
"f45-build-side-145851". I'll try to prepare needed changes for 
dependent packages and will contact their maintainers. I will merge it 
to the main buildroot at Monday (10th of August) just before the 
branching point.

There are several API changes and soname bump of the base library 
libpoppler.so.*.

Packages which need to be rebuilt:
   OpenBoard
   calligra
   gambas3
   gdal
   gdcm
   inkscape
   kitinerary
   libreoffice
   pdf2djvu
   scribus

Hi,
libreoffice is clashing with the evolution-data-server (eds) soname
version bump (see another thread in this list). What would be the
preferred order? I already let GNOME 51.beta release be done before the
eds soname change, which required two packages to be rebuilt again. The
libreoffice is not in the f45-build-side-145283 yet, but I'd like to
merge this tag by the end of this week (aka sooner than poppler).

Thanks for working on this. I did some test scratch builds and then 
submitted real builds for the packages that succeeded. (I guess I 
could've just submitted the non-scratch builds for all the packages in 
the first place, since the side tag already existed.) See below.

thank you for the rebuilds. I've patched some of those failing and built 
them or created pull requests for them (gdcm3, OpenBoard, gdcm, 
pdf2djvu). I'll wait for Gwyn's rebuilds and will merge the side-tag 
next week.

I'm a bit confused. I see a rebuild commit of scribis for poppler in rawhide already,
which failed, even though poppler 26.0.8 has not landed yet. Was it
FTBFS already?

In any case, poppler seems to be at 26.01.0 in rawhide currently, so the
bump is from 26.01.0 to 26.08.0. (That bit of info would be nice to have
in the original announcement.)

scribus upstream carries patches for poppler 26.07.0 on their 1.6.x
branch, so chances are that those may help. Fedora's scribus carries no
patches on top of 1.6.6 so far. I'll look into this, I routinely build
scribus from svn for Fedora anyways.

FTR: scribus is fixed now.

Inkscape carries fixes for recent poppler on their master branch. They
don't apply cleanly to 1.4.4, though, as you've probably found out. I'm
not going to investigate further (sorry), since I don't know inkscape's
code base at all.

One of those inkscape commits (fixing some recent poppler) has a couple
of pointers to poppler docs which might help. Just `git log -i
--grep=poppler origin/master` on an inkscape checkout.

I've rebuilt Inkscape with a patch I've prepared, however I've cared 
about successful compilation primarily. I've skipped the part which adds 
the rendering intent because there is a lot of changes needed if it 
should be backported from master branch.
I've also started new rebuild of LibreOffice in the side-tag since there 
was an update in between.
Once the LibreOffice rebuild finishes I'll merge the side-tag into the 
buildroot.
