Diversity Team - Badges
by Amita
Hi Justin,
Just saw you have created team for fedora diversity.
Can we have badge for the team members, also for diversity panel, so
like two badges.
And more as we go further for doing events related to diversity and
inclusion and so on :)
If idea is accepted, I can open a ticket for this.
Thanks,
Amita

[diversity] Choosing a new meeting time
by Justin W. Flory
Hello all,
As discussed in our last (brief) meeting, we're going to be working on
selecting a new meeting time that works for the most number of people
going forward. tatica created a WhenIsGood poll that we are using to
coordinate times. If you are interested in participating with the
Diversity Team meetings, please make sure you fill out this poll with
all the times that you are available and free for!
http://whenisgood.net/fedora-diversity
**NOTE: Make sure you select your time zone at the top before choosing
times!!**
Hopefully we can move to a new meeting time that works for the largest
number of people now that we have a few more people joining with us.
Thanks all!

[diversity] 2013 study into open source contributor communities
by Justin W. Flory
Hey all,
An interesting link I found earlier over the weekend about what seems to
be an on-going research report / analysis into open source communities,
their demographics, and more. A report on the data is in progress, but
for now, a copy of the questionnaire used is available along with dumps
of the raw dataset for importing into R or LimeSurvey.
Thought this could be a useful asset or tool for later learning. :)

[diversity] [Fedocal] Reminder meeting : Diversity Team IRC Meeting
by Justin W. Flory
Dear all,
You are kindly invited to the meeting:
Diversity Team IRC Meeting on 2016-08-23 from 10:30:00 to 11:30:00 US/Eastern
At fedora-diversity(a)irc.freenode.net
The meeting will be about:
Every two weeks, the [Diversity Team](https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Diversity) meets to discuss items on our [agenda](https://pagure.io/fedora-diversity).
The goal of this diversity initiative is to help promote an inclusive community within Fedora. To do this, we assist the Diversity Advisor with the planning and implementation of diversity efforts such as the enforcement of the code of conduct, creating Fedora Magazine articles highlighting the diverse community in Fedora, and offering workshops and fostering communication between Fedora sub-projects.

Continuing meeting times?
by Justin W. Flory
Hey all,
Earlier in the year, we were meeting on Tuesdays at 14:30 UTC (i.e.
10:30am US EST). Should we continue the Diversity meeting time as before
again starting tomorrow? I was wondering when we should pick up our
meeting times again.
Thanks!

A new Fedocal instance is needed for the

our meetings and put other related events on our calendar for better
planning.
Not sure what other information or justification is needed for a new

Hi Kanika, and welcome to the CommOps team! Glad to have you joining us. :)
I'm a little late to respond and lots of others have already linked
fantastic resources or pointers for getting involved.
== Diversity ==
If you're interested in the Diversity efforts within the project, I
definitely *also* recommend checking out the Diversity team. You can
find more information about the team at the following places. I also
recommend subscribing to their mailing list!
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Diversity
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/admin/lists/diversity@lists.fedoraproject...
Some of the work the Diversity team is doing includes the first-ever
Fedora Women Day, which happened a few weeks ago in July. There's also
plans on creating a survey to better understand our contributors and
their backgrounds to help create a better environment for the community.
There's also other plans coming down soon that you may be interested in
too. :)
== CommOps ==
We could definitely use extra hands for feedback regarding the
on-boarding process for the different sub-projects in Fedora
(particularly Quality Assurance – we haven't worked our way to them yet,
but we also don't have a point of contact for someone who could offer
feedback and ideas for their process). You can see the grand, master
ticket for all things on-boarding here:
https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-commops/ticket/34
As for the rest, are there any other specific areas in CommOps that you
may be interested in contributing to? You can get an idea for the
different things we're working on here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/CommOps#Things_we_help_with
Also, if you haven't yet seen, our Join page may also be useful for you,
but I'm pretty sure others have linked that already, so it might be
nothing new for you. :)
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/CommOps/Join
We have our weekly meetings on Tuesdays, 17:00 UTC (or 12:00pm US EST).
If you're available at this time, feel free to log onto freenode IRC and
find us in the #fedora-meeting channel. Soo, tomorrow! Feel free to come
by if you're around, we'd love to see you there. :)
I'd love to know what kind of things you may be interested in helping
with too. Hopefully all this info is helpful towards guiding you towards
something that interests you in contributing. If you have any questions,
feel free to ask here on the list or on IRC in #fedora-commops. We're
here to help! :)
Looking forward to seeing you around!
