[diversity] [fedora-diversity] Issue #16 `Write official and individual reports covering Diversity FAD`
by Justin W. Flory
jflory7 reported a new issue against the project: `fedora-diversity` that you are following:
``
**Discussed in [2017-02-08 meeting](https://meetbot.fedoraproject.org/teams/diversity/diversity.2017...
# Summary
Now that the Diversity FAD has concluded ( #8 ), we need to write an official report on the Community Blog, and individuals are encouraged to write their own reports for their own blogs or publishing platform of choice.
# Analysis
One of the questions I heard most during DevConf when people found out about our FAD was, "Awesome! What happens in a Diversity FAD?" Ideally, our reports should help answer this question and show what we worked on, what we accomplished, and what our goals for the future are. In the official report, tying it back to the [logic model](https://fedoraproject.org/w/uploads/b/bc/Diversity_FAD_2017_Logic_... will be important to communicate how we met our originally proposed goals.
The drafting of this post will likely take place in an Etherpad, and then be converted over to a Community Blog post after peer review / editing by the team. Progress on this will be updated in this ticket.
# Implementation
1. Begin drafting official report in Etherpad ( @jflory7 + @amsharma )
2. Share final draft with team, get feedback
3. Export to Community Blog post, share and publish
**FIRST DRAFT DUE**: Monday, 2017 February 13
# Existing posts
Individual blog posts can be found below. If you write your own post, please add a comment in the ticket linking your post!

[diversity] [fedora-diversity] Issue #3 `Guidelines for reporting Code of Conduct violations`
by Charles Profitt
cprofitt added a new comment to an issue you are following:
``
Ubuntu related links:
CoC - https://www.ubuntu.com/about/about-ubuntu/conduct
Community Council - https://wiki.ubuntu.com/CommunityCouncil
Ubuntu Community Governance - https://community.ubuntu.com/community-structure/governance
-----
Notes:
Fedora has no Benevolent Dictator so some parts of the Ubuntu CoC will clearly not apply. The general overall 'tone' or 'guiding principal' is 'be good to each other'. When I participated in creating the document I learned that one of the fears that was guiding certain language was one of gridlock. There was a desire to not allow disputes to gridlock the community. A clear mandate for 'leaders' to make decisions was included, but a requirement to do so in a transparent and tactful manner.
Another key component was for 'leaders' to know when to step down gracefully. This was designed to allow people to step away from the project when they realized that they could no longer dedicate sufficient time to the projects / items they were leading. In many cases leaders left and did not hand over 'control' or conflicts arose when leaders were non-responsive and holding up a process. While this falls outside what many think of as normal for a CoC I see value in having some provisions in place for dealing with these situations.
-----
As a note -- almost every alleged violation of the CoC was disputed. At times the dispute was limited to the person being banned from IRC channels, but there were times that disputes were between large groups on either side. What ever body or person is responsible for making these decisions must have the 'authority' to do so and there must be a well documented appeal process that involves the ability to bring in people who do not have a conflict of interest. The policy has to apply to everyone regardless of how 'important' the person is to Fedora. High profile members of the community should not receive deferential treatment.
example: irc user is banned from #fedora channels due to repeated violations of the CoC. This person then claims that the IRC person / body that enacted the ban has a conflict of interest. That should elevate to a group of people who do not have any governance powers on IRC.

I have taken below survey, there are very few questions which may have a

Do we want to revisit our questions, which may be the possible
duplicates of below survey?
Thanks & Regards,

Hi Ambassadors!
Our Outreachy intern, Suzanne Hillman, has put together a survey about Fedora contributors’ usage of social media to help us prioritize potential future integration with various social media platforms with Fedora Hubs. We've noticed that usage of different platforms seems to be related to different regions, so we're specifically interested in getting survey responses from Fedora contributors world-wide. We would also love to hear from ambassadors because the feature this would be for (regional hubs) is geared specifically for supporting ambassadors and their local communities.
The survey link is:

Thanks,
~m
