Hi Charcol,
I am very happy that someone like you wants to help.
It sounds like you have a great background.
Your perspective as a shy person is something that is very
valuable for the types of things we're working on here in the Diversity
Team. As some background, this is one of the newest teams in Fedora and
we're also one of the smallest (but slowly growing!), so hopefully you
can understand that we're still working on maturing and expanding our
outreach. If you can join our mailing list - diversity@lists.fedoraproject.org,
it will help you understand more what tasks we are working on and how, and
if there's ever something you want to weigh in, you are more than welcome to!!
To understand some of the tasks that we're working on, you can check out
our Pagure repository. Pagure is a git forge where a lot of
Fedora-related projects host their code. We use the tickets / issues
feature as a task tracker for our team, to create new tasks and to track
our progress on them over time. You can view them here:
https://pagure.io/fedora-diversity/issues
You can scroll through some of the things we're currently discussing
there to better understand the type of work we do. Additionally, I'm not
sure if you read our wiki pages, but if you haven't yet, this will also
be great background to better understand our team!

Looking forward to having you in Diversity team ! If
you have any questions, please don't be afraid to ask!!
Thanks again for showing your interest.
Regards,
Amita

Hi Amita,
William mentioned that you're working on a Fedora
Diversity initiative, and I'm very interested in helping
out / getting involved.
I remember not that long ago being way too shy to
contribute anything to OSS, even though I wanted to.
That's why I really would love to make it as easy as
possible for people to get involved, especially people
from minority groups and those who are under-confident.
I'd love to discuss ways in which I could help. I've just
joined the #fedora-diversity irc channel as @charcol, so
feel free to message me there, or via emai :)
Thank you,
Charelle.
