Seems that I have a very different perspective from inclusion,

I'm not a feminist, I try to seek equality, and that's what I think we should aim (I might be wrong, but well, everyone's opinions are valid).

I do think that safe spaces are something important, yet, people tend to use them so much that they forget that even if we have a small IRC room or a classroom with the gates closed, the problem is still out there.

I would like people to see that, as long as we hide behind fancy words, that only exposes more and more people, and send the message that "we are week, so we need a special place to hide". I know my words might be a bit rude, and I apologize if that's the case, however, we should keep aiming to create a receptive environment for ALL to work together in peace, instead segregate ourselves.

All I can talk is from my personal experiences. In LATAM we have several (small, about 50ppl each) groups of "female only" where male presence hasn't been a problem, instead, we have been able to educate male about the gender issues we face and THEY replicate the message. This is a situation where every single resource, if we are smart enough, can be used in our favor.

Again, this is my point of view. Everyone in this list has experienced different situations and in most cases, living in different continents adds another quote of changes. I'm open that if APAC doesn't want to include male presence at the FWD that's ok, however, those of you who want to include male presence "and this presence can bring something interesting to the gathering", then go for it.

Hope everyone has a large quote of success! Greetings from bed :)
