Hi Folks,
We set up bi-weekly calls after our last Team meetup in March 2021. For the past couple of months there has been almost no attendance. This is okay! I understand there are a multitude of potential reasons behind this.
However, I have a very full calendar, and this is holding space. I would like to make some changes. In order to do that, I want to understand what the team would find beneficial. If folks could weigh in on what they would like to see for a Team meetings or check ins, that would be great.
If you fall into one of these categories, just responding with that info would be helpful. Feel free to respond off list if you that is more comfortable :)
1. I would join the bi-weekly IRC meeting, but I can't make the current time 2. I would join the bi-weekly IRC meeting, but I have too much going on right now 3. I would join the bi-weekly IRC meeting, but it is too unstructured 4. I would prefer a monthly IRC meeting 5. I would prefer a monthly video meeting 6. I would join a meeting, but I am new/unsure of what we are doing
Hope to hear from you! Best,

Hi Marie,
I identified with #6 the most. I fell out of the loop on team priorities during the pandemic. I'm not sure what areas need support or are being focused on now, or where best to find that info.
I also wonder about on-boarding folks to the new Fedora Matrix homeserver. Are there any published guides or docs pages on getting set up with the Fedora Matrix homeserver? This content could be useful so folks can reconnect with the team and sync up on discussions and join for meetings.

*Hi Justin,*
Thank you for your response. To be frank, engagement has been quite low (part of why I am sending this mail). Because of this, general work on our team goals (outlined in our team meetup in March 2021) haven't moved very far. When it came time to plan Fedora Week of Diversity I had a small handful of folks volunteer (Thank you Jona, Vipul, Ashlyn & Onuralp!!) and we pulled off a small but cool week of content at the beginning of October :)
Other than that, I have been showing up to the bi-weekly meeting time and chatting with anyone who shows up. I think that sums up the activity in the last 6 months or so.
I am happy to support an effort to update our docs wrt Fedora's matrix server! Please let me know how I can help.
*To the rest of the team- *
I invite you to provide your feedback. Your opinions are valuable and appreciated <3
Best regards,

Hi Marie,
I would prefer a monthly video meeting. Bi-weekly meetings could be an option, but personally it will be hard to attend every meeting.

Hi folks,
Thank you for all the feedback here, it is greatly appreciated <3
I am focused on finishing prep for the Release Party, so I will need to work on this next week. The virtual party is tomorrow & Saturday, hope you can join![0] Jona, Vipul, and I are giving a short presentation about our work on Fedora Week of Diversity[1]. I also see we have a meetup scheduled for about an hour from now, I won't make it today due to previously mentioned Release Party prep :)
I think we will need a whenisgood to help us determine when the monthly video call will be scheduled. I would also propose to promote that we are restructuring our calls. It might be a good chance for other interested folks to join us? I don't think it needs to be too wide of a promotion. Ideas include: - blog post - discussion thread - email to d&i mailing list - mindshare & d&I chat channels Please share any feedback you may have. I could absolutely use assistance organizing this if folks want to help out. Feel free to reply here or reach out to me with interest. Ashlyn, I see you are up to help, I will contact you.
Hope to see ya'll at the Release Party- have a great week!

Hi there!
I put together a whenisgood for the month of December. Because December is full of holidays for a lot of people, I think we might need to re-evaluate our regular time to meet after that. For now, I'd like to support the team by connecting us once before the end of the year.
*Please submit your availability at the following link:* *https://whenisgood.net/fedora-diversity-monthly-call https://whenisgood.net/fedora-diversity-monthly-call*
I would propose we use the first call to determine the format of the call moving forward, what we would like to focus on, and bring everyone who's interested back "in the loop" :) I would like to hear what other people would like to see for the meeting content/structure as well.
Best,

Our meeting will be December 7th at 4PM UTC (11AM EST). I have added it to Fedocal [0]. I also set up a google calendar invite and will send it to those who replied to the whenisgood. If you would like me to add you to the google invite, just let me know.
Let's discuss how we will move forward at our meeting on Dec 7th. I initiated a hackmd [1] for meeting notes, feel free to add.

Hi folks,
Thank you for all the feedback here, it is greatly appreciated <3
Ideas include:
- blog post
- discussion thread
- email to d&i mailing list
- mindshare & d&I chat channels
Please share any feedback you may have. I could absolutely use assistance organizing this if folks want to help out. Feel free to reply here or reach out to me with interest. Ashlyn, I see you are up to help, I will contact you.
Hope to see ya'll at the Release Party- have a great week!

This works the best for me too as Jona said, bi-weekly IRC meetings could still exist (or make a comeback when we think we would need it) For now, I would say 5 :) Thank you
