Hi All,
I've been looking for a way to contribute to the Fedora Project and community for quite some time and am quite happy to learn about this group! I'm not much of a coder, so I'm pleased to see there are other ways I can help out that are more in line with my abilities. Aside from bug submissions and the occasional forum post, this would be my first time contributing to a free and open source project in any capacity.
My name is Andy -* hi! *- I've been using Fedora since 2011, and have worked in HR for almost a decade now - as an Admin, a Generalist, a Business Partner, and now a Business Analyst. Diversity & Inclusion has always been a passion and focus of mine, and I consider my proudest professional moment to be when, as part of a national working group, I played a part in securing transgender-inclusive health care coverage at a company of 13,000+ U.S. employees.
I plan to attend the next virtual meeting on 11/2, but in the meantime, feel free to drop me a line to say hi, or if you have any tips on where to start - I've been digging through the pagure repo to familiarize myself with the current happenings, but any tips to help me get oriented would be much appreciated!
Best,
Andy Loven

Hi Andy, and welcome! We're happy to have you here with us. Thanks for sharing a bit of your background with us and it's awesome to know that this is your first time contributing to a free and open source project. =)

As you mentioned you can check out the open tickets on our Pagure repo to follow the tasks and work this team is working on: https://pagure.io/fedora-diversity/issues You are more than welcome to comment on any of these or feel free to open a new issue if you want to propose a new idea.
We might have our next meeting on Friday (or Tuesday), but we are discussing a new meeting time - so please check out again this mailing list when we announce it. During the meeting we will go through the tickets that have higher priority and need help/work, so would be great if you can attend.
Welcome again to our mailing list! :)
Best,
Andy Loven
Cheers, Jona
