Bug ID: 838328
QA Contact: docs-qa(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
Severity: low
Version: devel
Priority: unspecified
CC: oglesbyzm(a)gmail.com, pkovar(a)redhat.com
Assignee: bcotton+fedora(a)gmail.com
Summary: --macros not mentioned in the rpmbuild man page
Regression: ---
Story Points: ---
Classification: Fedora
OS: Linux
Reporter: teknopaul(a)gmail.com
Type: Bug
Documentation: ---
Hardware: All
Mount Type: ---
Status: NEW
Component: rpm-guide
Product: Fedora Documentation
Description of problem:
The --macros flag is not documented in man rpmbuild.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
RPM version 4.9.1.3
How reproducible:
every time
Steps to Reproduce:
1. man rpmbuild
2.
3.
Actual results:
incomplete docs
Expected results:
--macros gets mentioned, without it is not possible to build outside ~/rpmbuild
Additional info:
I understand that this might not be the perfect place to report this issue but
www.rpm.org has a private bug trac system that the public are not allowed to
enter bugs in. RPM is obviously pretty core to Fedora. I'll be happy to
submit a doc patch if you can tell me where the code is.
BTW rpm and rpmbuild man pages have no BUGS section.

Summary: Musician's Guide 1.1.1, par. 2, change
"infinite"->"continuously variable"
Product: Fedora Documentation
Version: devel
Platform: Unspecified
OS/Version: Unspecified
Status: NEW
Severity: low
Priority: unspecified
Component: musicians-guide
AssignedTo: crantila(a)acanac.net
ReportedBy: thomas(a)hedden.org
QAContact: docs-qa(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
CC: oglesbyzm(a)gmail.com
Classification: Fedora
Story Points: ---
Type: ---
Regression: ---
Mount Type: ---
Documentation: ---
Description of problem:
Poor wording.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
N/A
How reproducible:
Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Fedora Musician's Guide
2. Go to chapter 1.1.1. Audio Interfaces, 2nd paragraph
3. Find sentence beginning "Computers cannot process ..."
Actual results:
The sentence uses the phrase "infinite information"
Expected results:
The sentence should use the phrase "continuous information" or "continuously
variable information"
Additional info:
The use of the word "infinite" in the meaning "continuously variable" is what I
would expect in the instructions for a washing machine, not in a Fedora manual.
