Can we get the latest version of the Defensive Coding Guide published? I don't
think it's been updated since the Publican toolchain broke.

Depends On: 1338889
In Fedora 25, the NIS NSS modules have been moved to the nss_nis package. The
System Administrator's Guide needs to be updated to mention that both ypbind
and nss_nis packages need to be installed in order to enable NIS support.

"If you find a typographical error in this manual, or if you have thought of a
way to make this manual better, we would love to hear from you! Please submit a

I think it needs to say "Fedora Documentation" instead of "Fedora".

Summary: Inconsistent steps for TigerVNC
Product: Fedora Documentation
Version: devel
Component: system-administrator's-guide

Hi guys!
It looks like
https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora/24/html/System_Administrators_G…
is a bit out of date. The service changed the way it starts, it now requires
two changes:
User=MY_USER
PIDFile=/home/MY_USER/.vnc/%H%i.pid
I also suggest to add Troubleshooting section:
A) When VNC server does not start, check status of the service (systemctl
status), system journal or SELinux denials.
(I recently filed a bug 1383088 for Fedora 24 on that topic)
B) TigerVNC enforces encryption when using password authentication. Some
clients (outdated or MacOS built-in Shared Screen application) won't be able to
connect.

Summary: Clarification of VNCServer setup Requsted
Product: Fedora Documentation

using:
https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora/21/html/System_Administrators_G…
[in the below statements X = {1, 2, 3....10}]
I was able to install and connect to a VNC session using "vncviewer -via XXXXX"
however it was only after executing "systemctl start vncserver@:X.service' on
the remote machine.
Executing
systemctl enable vncserver@:X.service
results in:
Failed to execute operation: No such file or directory
Section 8.1.3. Starting VNC Server states:
systemctl enable vncserver@:display_number.service
however, unless one creates a file such as:
vncserver@:X.service
the command
systemctl enable vncserver@:X.service
does not work. After some time with the help of [coolmadmax] on IRC://#Fedora,
I was able to understand this was where I was missing a step.
I think it would help to add some clarifying statements here to help others.
The guide [coolmadmax] suggested:
https://stufs4u.wordpress.com/2014/02/25/install-and-configure-vnc-server-i…
added this ounce of clarification.
Help on this issue included [mutk] [fenrus02] [kendell] [devhen] and [_AnK] and
I thank all.
