Bug ID: 1313022
Summary: stale grub2 reset/reinstall information
Product: Fedora Documentation
Version: devel
Component: system-administrator's-guide
Assignee: swadeley(a)redhat.com
Reporter: bugzilla(a)colorremedies.com
QA Contact: docs-qa(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
CC: swadeley(a)redhat.com
Description of problem:
Refresh of 20.4, 20.4.1, and 20.4.2 makes section 20.4.3 obsolete.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora/22/html/System_Administrators_G…
Actual results:
20.4.3 suggests:
rm /etc/grub.d/* ## probably not necessary
rm /etc/sysconfig/grub command ## obsolete
On UEFI-based machines, issue the following command as root:
~]# grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/efi/EFI/redhat/grub.cfg ## stale location, is now
fedora not redhat.
Expected results:
Maybe just delete this section. The previous sections are clear.

Summary: A "short" table of contents would improve the document

QA Contact: docs-qa(a)lists.fedoraproject.org

Description of problem:
The Fedora 21 System Administrator's Guide has a very detailed table of
contents which is good, but it hinders quick navigation and makes it hard to
grasp the scope of the document.
IMO it would improve the document to add a "short" table of contents before the
existing long table of contents. Something with the following level of detail
would be good:

Summary: Add warning that FreeIPA guide is out of date
Product: Fedora Documentation
Version: devel
Component: freeipa-guide
Assignee: mkosek(a)redhat.com
Reporter: pspacek(a)redhat.com
QA Contact: docs-qa(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
CC: mkosek(a)redhat.com
Description of problem:
Docs related to FreeIPA like
https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora/15/html/FreeIPA_Guide/Using_Mic…
are quite old and outdated. This makes our life hard because Google is offering
these old docs all the time and people are trying to use it, despite the fact
that it is outdated.
Please add BIG FAT warning on top of each page in the guide and say 'This is
outdated, go and read http://www.freeipa.org/page/Documentation instead!'
I imagine something like Warning box on top of each page before any other text.
I have no idea if it is possible or not.
Thank you for your time!

"The management tools can be located on separate physical machines from the

application: gnome-boxes is built apon. "
This probably needs reformulation.

In Fedora 25, the NIS NSS modules have been moved to the nss_nis package. The
Deployment Guide needs to be updated to mention that both ypbind and nss_nis
packages need to be installed in order to enable NIS support.

This is a tracking bug for Change: Allow kdump on secureboot machines
For more details, see:
http://fedoraproject.org//wiki/Changes/Kdump_with_secureboot
Currently kexec/kdump is disabled on machines with secureboot enabled. This
feature aims to enable kexec/kdump on such machines.

I think first thing is to include a new package ima-evm-tools in F20. I am not
sure how to do it.

Vivek, create Package Review -
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Package_Review_Process for ima-evm-tools and
block this bug on the created review bug. After review, add it to comps.
Thank you.
