RE: CVS/Wiki/Savannah?

---> fedoranews.org -> features tutorials & howto's
---> fedora.artoo.net/faq -> unofficial #fedora faq
^- Anyone got other links for existing fedora doc repositories?
I believe the Fedora docs are one article per page? And RedHat will
maintain an index? ;)
The Fedora page says that after tutorials are completed, editors will be
assigned to them. Possibly people could leverage benefit out of a more
open system?
Just throwing around ideas.... %)

I'll put my poor innocent fool hat on and provisionally say I'll have a go
at translating into the redhat format - if things ever get to that stage.

Anaconda documents
by Taylor, ForrestX
Hi all,
I am new to the list, although not new to Red Hat Linux. I am
interested in writing docs for anaconda, so, is anyone was already
working on them?
Taking a look at the Documentation project site, I see that I need
Docbook XML, stylesheets, Emacs PSGML (or NXML), etc. What is the
learning curve for these? I have never done XML, and I am not an Emacs
user (sorry to start a flamewar). Perhaps I could write the text and
someone with more knowledge of XML/Emacs could put it into the right
format. I am not unwilling to learn XML/Emacs, but my time might be
spent better elsewhere.
Let me know what you all think.

CVS/Wiki/Savannah?
by Andrew Lewis
*Shrug* Each to his own? %D
I'm suprised RedHat didn't stipulate how submissions should work?-
Rather only going into exhaustive detail about formatting.. ;>
I have requested a fedora-docs project @ Savannah - I can always ask
them to kill it again if the consensus is that we don't want to use it,

Anything specific about the rh formatting style?
The fact that its xml?
Use of docbook?
Processing it?
Which elements to use?

have you actually started the DNS service??? see if you have, also are
you really really sure you want to be a dns server??? you should really
try asking yourself that, because your ISP is probably doing that for
you anyways, and unless you're running a big network and have your own
domain already i dont really see why you'd want to run DNS.

yes you can directly upgrade from rh9 to fedora. provided your cd's are
o.k. and you dont have a cheap cd-rom that doesnt decide to give you a
hard time. just pop cd 1 in and on the install program just tell it to
upgrade from fh9 to fedora on your hd0 or wherever you have your linux
install. you still need all 3 cd's and it should take you about 30
minutes. plus if you want to install the latest rpm upgrades once you've
done the fedora install, it should take you a bit longer depending on
your connection. suggestion install the new kernel first and THEN
download everything else. i wouldnt know about any major dns server
change though
