wiki problems
by Karl Larsen
Here is my latest wiki problem. I can get up to what appears to be
my page because it has my wiki name in upper left which is KarlLarsen.
Just below that is the words Create New Page.
I click on that and get this error message:
You are not allowed to edit this page.
I'm at a stop now because I can't start.

console.perms
by Karl Larsen
I used the info in info console.perms and from several other sources
to teach me how to write a file that changes /dev/ttyS0 ownership from
root to me when I am on the console. As it happens this is the devise in
Fedora that lets you use a serial port which in windows talk is Com1.
The info console.perms is written by Michael K. Johnson
<johnsonm(a)redhat.com> and I suspect he wrote the software. Alas what he
wrote is real bad. It tells him what it does but it was way over my
head. After reading a lot of other things I figured out how to use this
software and it did work. But it took a whole day.
I would like to re-write this console-perm man page from the pov of
a user rather than the writer of the code. This I can do from what I did
to make the serial port work.
Is this something we do?

XFCE - (Dug)
by Marc Wiriadisastra
Hey all,
Quick question I've started to add some screenshots to the XFCE guide
though I'm not to sure that they are correct.
As per the screenshot I have uploaded it doesn't match what is written.
Can someone double check if they have XFCE that when I installed last
night the screenshot is the default?
E.g.
The Xfce desktop has three distinct areas. From top to bottom, the areas
are:
* The menu panel
* The desktop area
* The window list panel
The menu panel and window list panel are opposites on mine.
Cheers,
Marc

CentOS
by Marc Wiriadisastra
Hey all,
http://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks
Has a lot of info while not directly related to Fedora will help guide
people to do certain tasks.
I know they have copied the Red Hat docs as well and licensed them
appropriately if someone is interested in having a look.
Adjustments can be made or reference to the docs can be done possibly?

Re: Voting System Conflicts
by Karsten Wade
Moving over to f-docs-l for discussion.
FAMSCo is politely requesting our slot to do their elections, since they
are now ready; details below.
If we had a full slate of candidates, I wouldn't want to move our
election and would ask them to take it up after the 24th of December.
However, we're a bit shy on candidates.
Should we take the extra time?
