where to meet
by Karsten Wade
Do you all care if FDSCo meets in #fedora-meeting instead of
#fedora-docs?
Now, historically it has been *very valuable* to have discussions where
we socialize/work/etc. on IRC. More people who are lurking are caught
up in the conversation, etc.
However, I see the same thing happening on #fedora-meeting, except it is
capturing lurkers from across the whole project. I notice that people
who are interested in the meeting(s) either lurk on #fedora-meeting or
join the channel when a meeting is announced in the source channel.
So, I am considering changing my mind on the subject, and I'm curious
what you all think.
thx - Karsten

Fedora 7 installation guide and release notes
by Rahul Sundaram
Hi
When are these getting published? It would make it easier to link to if
they were published a bit earlier to the actual release. Is there any
other documents waiting to be published on the pipeline?
What's the status on the updated Fedora user guide. I still need to
update the software management guide which is hopefully done soon.
It might be useful to link to all the relevant user specific docs esp
ones focusing on Fedora 7 prominently from http://docs.fedoraproject.org
There was a short document on burning images, virt guide in
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Docs/Fedora7VirtQuickStart and possibly
others.

Desktop Users Guide - Devel
by Diego Búrigo Zacarão
Hello, all!
I have checked out the desktop-user-guide at the CVS, however there are no
files into devel/ directory.
I would like to know what's the plans about that guide for F7.
1 - Who's working on that guide?
2 - Is there a data/freeze to the guide to be available to the
translators?
The DocsProject/Schedule[1] looks like no-updated to me. Or... am I wrong?
:)
Best regards

Presentation and some questions
by Mario Pascucci
Hi all.
I apologize if this is wrong list, but I was wondering about...
I'm a very happy Fedora user (and before I was happy RadHat user from
rel 6.1), and I maintain a blog on Linux and Fedora, in italian, where
I publish some guides about Linux and one on Installing and
configuring Fedora (always in italian). I done a lot of work with Qemu
to capture installation screenshots (both graphical and text mode) of
Fedora 6.
The manual is here:
http://www.ismprofessional.net/pascucci/?p=56
For generating it I use Docbook 4.2 XML with xmlto utility to generate
html docs (I use vim to wrote it).
Anyone found some part of it useful? Can I contribute to the
documentation in any way with it? Screenshots, maybe?
My gpg key ID is 0×5F0AC7D3

I already have a Bugzilla account.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome wizzard
by Jonathan Roberts
Hi all,
I don't know if this is off topic, or even just wishful thinking, but
has any sort of a welcome wizard been considered?
GNU/Linux (and Fedora) is different to what a lot of new users will
have been used to, and some sort of a welcome wizard which just points
them in the right direction for common items, i.e. software installer
etc might be useful.
I have no idea if other people think this would be worthwhile, or how
you might go about creating it! Thoughts?
