I had a quick look at a few samples from the release notes content and
I think it's in need of some editorial love. This is not a great
situation to be in post-Preview Release, because now we will end up
changing more strings for the translators.
The final drop for the updated strings (POT file) to L10n needs to
happen no later than November 6th so translators have enough time to
translate strings for the F10 final release.
If you are a good technical writer/editor, can fix common mistakes in
grammar, usage, and clarity, and have some time free to help, we
really do need it. I'll be spending some time on this task over the
weekend but probably can't do it all myself.
I've made a further status column for F10 GA here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Docs/Beats#Beat_Assignments
So as you edit, please mark something there. If you're unsure whether
it's *really* ready, put your initial beside the '0' mark, and someone
else will confirm for you. Thanks in advance for helping, team!

Disco! That definitely reads better to me.

I bottom posted this reply so my message would be clearer. I had to spend many extra minutes making the reply correct from the bottom post perspective, including snipping many lines of irrelevant text and signatures from the email. Since I took so much care, I am hoping everyone recognizes the increased value of my reply even though the reply itself is not on topic for the particuliar list and is an obvious attempt at sarcasm and humor. I also sprained my thumb while typing this reply on my mobile phone during a crowed train ride to work when I could have been napping. I still wish my phones email client handled reply quoting better but with little personal time to contribute to a list's email threads, this palm based email client will have to do. Since my reply is to a list versus a single person, my effort at humor is definetly prioritized to communicate a message (in this case, sarcasm) versus the traditional gramatical correctness of a personal email or business memo.
So, to all, please excuse my correctly bottom posted reply and try to stay on topic for the list as well as be kind to others by recognizing they could be doing something else but at least took the time to reply.

Jesse normally works with the Documentation team to get a release
announcement put together for test releases. Is someone interested in
drafting one for the Fedora 10 Preview Release? It need not be
extremely long or funny, but should reflect that:
* It's the last public stop before the final release
* The Preview Release is where we would really love testing from the
entire Fedora community
* Bugs desperately wanted in Bugzilla
* Maybe we should include a pointer to release notes on the wiki so that
community members can tell us gotchas that they expected to see and
didn't?
* Testing help can be found on #fedora-qa and fedora-test-list
I'm sure Jesse will pick up this thread and introduce any other points
he'd like to make.
