Self-Introduction: Rui Gouveia
by Rui Gouveia
Hello,
My name is Rui Gouveia. I'm a co-ordinator of the Portuguese (pt)
translation team of Fedora.
My purpose for joining this group, for now, is to guarantee that all the
translated documentation is delivered properly to our users.
This was suggested by Ruediger Landmann in a bug report [1] and I accept
the task.
I hope, in the future, I can spare some time to help writing new
documentation.
Thanks for your time
Rui Gouveia

Alpha Release Notes Next Week
by John J. McDonough
One week from today we will begin preparing the Alpha Release Notes.
If you have an application you think should be mentioned in the Alpha
Notes please be sure your Feature page is concise and compelling.
The Alpha Release Notes are quite succinct, so not every new feature
will be mentioned, in fact, probably not every major feature will be
mentioned. But if we don't know what cool thing you are working on,
then for sure it won't be included.
If you have a really important story to tell, consider going to
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Documentation_Beats
select the appropriate beat, and write a short pitch on what cool thing
you are adding for Fedora 14. If English isn't your first language, or
you don't think you are the best writer, don't worry. We have editors
who will polish it up. Just be sure to make us aware of what you have
been doing.
Thanks for all your hard work

Musicians' Guide Draft Now Posted
by Christopher Antila
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hello:
I am pleased to let you know that the first official draft of the
Musicians' Guide is now available under the "Draft Documentation"
category on the Fedora Documentation website, http://docs.fedoraproject.org
The current focus is on establishing a consistent style and making the
document sound professional. There are still many incomplete portions,
especially missing links and images, and I will be working to fix these
as quickly as possible. Updates will be posted at least daily until
August 9th, and frequently after that point.
More than ever, testing is crucial to help ensure that a high-quality
document is released with Fedora 14. We are very appreciative of any
assistance you can give us, and we will work hard to incorporate all
feedback that we receive. Please send comments to this email address,
or file a bug report on the Red Hat Bugzilla.
Thank you,
Christopher.
