The French Translation
by Leslie S Satenstein
About 4 months (April 2013) ago I wrote to this list that I would like to help with documentation, particularly the translation.
The opening page of the French Release notes has the "Note Légal" in English, without the French Equivalent.
Is there a reason for this to not be translated, with the phrase that if there is a question of interpretation, the English version would prevail?

Here is why some proof reading is useful
Original
Résumé
Ce document fournit les notes de version pour Fedora 19.
After Proof read
Ce document fournit les notes de version 19 de Fedora.
In french, "Open Source" if in quotes, is Open Source,
but without quotes, the (Québec French translation) is « source ouverte »
Anyways, the translation looks very good. One can always be very picky.

Some extra things I noted about the French Translation

French Release notes.

Pour plus d'informations sur les fonctionnalités inclues dans Fedora
19, se référer aux pages individuelles du wiki qui détaillent les
objectifs et les progrès sur les nouvelles fonctionnalités : http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/19/FeatureList.
In Québec as in France, we have the "Office de la langue Française", which is a stickler for grammar. The use of sur in french means physically on something. In French we use of such as writingof the functionality. I suppose English should be the same.

I guess you are using machine (software translation). Nevertheless, may I ask how intense was the proof reading of this translation for good French?
The French I use follows https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Office_qu%C3%A9b%C3%A9cois_de_la_langue_fra... (Office de la langue Française) whose role is "International French".
Is there still time for a good review? The subject matter is excellent, just accomodating "International French" needs some tweaking.

Some overlooked translation in the French Revision Notes.
by Leslie S Satenstein
In the French release notes:
2.3.2. Visual Changes to GRUB
The appearance of GRUB and GRUB menus have been changed to present a more seamless, appealing look.
I translated this as
2.3.2. Changements visuels de GRUB
L'apparition de GRUB et ses menus GRUB ont été modifiés afin de fournir une présentation séduisant et consistante.

Another tweak
by Leslie S Satenstein
Sorry,
Here is the phrase section 1.3
Ainsi, un serveur de base de données à fort trafic nécessitera plus de
mémoire et de stockage qu'un ordinateur de bureau, qui lui même requiert
plus de ressources qu'une machine virtuelle pour un service dédié.
In French, service is feminine so it should read .. virtuelle pour une service dédiée.

Thanks for checking in, Adam. I have one more build to push, with some
updates (thanks again for help there, too) and up to four translations.
Each language takes ~600K, I'm hoping that isn't too much. It might be
possible to cut that down with some symlinks, if I can find time. Planning
to put out a new RPM tomorrow, probably without the symlinks.

update on extlinux docs
by Matthew Miller
So, I don't think syslinux-extlinux is going to make it onto the install
media, which means that the extlinux option will only be available for net
installs where the "Everything" tree is available. That should probably go
in the extlinux section.

Just a congratulations for a great release note
Here is a comment for web page http://fedorapeople.org/groups/docs/release-notes/en-US/sect-Release_Note...
For a first time user, or a system administrator new to Fedora, He will ask "what is a kickstart" file. Perhaps there should be a reference to its construction or how it is used. It is an idea for Fedora 20.
In section 2.3.1 inside the box, previously we had in bold "dracut --regenerate-all --force". Being bold made it a good eye-catcher. Any chance bold it?
Ignore my yesterday's comment about boost. Yesterday the links to boost libraries produced a 404 error (no host). Today that server is up and the links are satisfied.
2.8.1. MariaDB
Fedora 19 features MariaDB, an improved and more open fork of MySQL with a thriving community.
The "with a thriving community" should be removed. Does "thriving community" refer to MySQL or to MariaDB?
In the 4.2.3. MEMSTOMP section, what is DSO? The only idea I came up with was "Dynamic Storage Optimisation".
The notes are really nice. Now to review the french versions. (grin)

Self-introduction
by Petr Bokoc
Hello everyone,
my name is Petr Bokoc and I'm a technical writer working for Red Hat at
the Brno, Czech Republic office. Since Jack Reed, who was maintaining
the Fedora Installation Guide and Power Management Guide, left, I've
been assigned to maintain them (although it should be only temporary for
the latter).
I'm Czech and 24 years old. Before working at Red Hat I was employed by
a local publishing house, where I was in charge of a web portal focusing
on laptops - reviews, guides, etc. Shortly after being hired by Red Hat
I started working on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Kernel Crash Dump Guide.
As for the guides, I'll do my best to get everything in order for the
July 2 release of Fedora 19 and to make localization files available for
translation as soon as possible. While I don't have much experience with
Fedora docs and the local workflow, I do have several seasoned veterans
nearby to help me out.
Here's my GPG info:
