Docs FAD - Day 3 notes
by Justin W. Flory
Hi all, the Docs FAD wrapped up earlier for Day 3.
Today's highlight discussions included a deep-dive into figuring out
CI/CD for Pagure repos + doc contributions, creating the style guide for
new docs, and more. The Etherpad still probably gives the best picture
on what's happening "on the ground".
A few links to highlight:

Thanks to our remotees for participating again today. We'll be back for
Day 4 tomorrow!

Docs FAD - Day 2 notes
by Justin W. Flory
Hi all, Day 2 of the Docs FAD wrapped up a moment ago.
Today's minutes are more barebone but the full logs may be more helpful.
We spent most of the day working hands-on on different areas. The
Etherpad we created is likely more helpful to see what is to do, what is
being done, and what is done.
http://etherpad.osuosl.org/fdocs2018
We'll be back tomorrow! See you all then.

introduction!
by Matthew Miller
Hi! I'm Matthew Miller and I'd like to officially join the docs team.
I've done some stuff around Fedora for a while, and have written quite
a few wiki pages, Fedora Magazine articles, and a lot of the high-level
project documentation. :)

Hey Jhoanir! I am including the Fedora Docs mailing list in this reply.
This information is mostly a list of all sub-projects with a short
description of each group; I think this content is more valuable for
documentation than it is in the wiki.
There is a page in the docs for this specific wiki page, but it has a
big TODO comment to be completed later.
https://docs.fedoraproject.org/fedora-project/subprojects/subprojects.html
I think the following steps would be good to follow:
1. Verify wiki page information is accurate / correct
2. Convert wiki page to AsciiDoc document
3. Create pull request to Fedora Docs to update the page
This gets the content into our docs and makes it more useful than a
"TODO" comment. We may want to make bigger changes to this page in the
future, but I think it makes more sense to get something up than a blank
page.
I need someone from the Docs team to clarify where this page lives. I
found this, but it's HTML, not an AsciiDoc file.
https://pagure.io/fedora-docs/docs-fp-o/blob/master/f/other-releases-main...
If someone from the docs-side can clarify where this lives, I'm sure
your help to migrate it from the wiki to docs would be helpful.
Are you interested in working on this?

Docs FAD: What can we "bring"?
by Justin W. Flory
Hi all,
Part of the Docs FAD purpose¹ includes a contributor handbook; in
CommOps, we are discussing guidelines for GSoC / Outreachy mentors in
documentation. Is work like this included in the scope of the FAD?
We have a few docs-related areas of focus in CommOps and I hoped to work
at them during the FAD². However, the scope of work for the FAD is
unclear to me in this way, if the FAD is meant to focus on tasks like this.
More context is in this ticket:
https://pagure.io/fedora-commops/issue/133
I want to make sure my expectations are in line with reality for the
FAD, but didn't want to assume. Does it make sense for participants to
"bring" tasks like this into the FAD?
Thanks!
