Hacktoberfest and a Mentor
by Caleb McKee
Hello all,
I finished PR #281[0] and I was just curious about some things. First, I
noticed Hacktoberfest is giving away T-shirts for people who contribute
enough pull requests this month. I didn't know if the Fedora Docs project
could qualify for that. If not, no big deal. Just curious.
Also, I remember vaguely that it's customary for newer contributors to
become acquainted with a mentor. I thought I saw Petr may have wanted to
connect with me in the beginning, but maybe I didn't follow up soon enough?
It's not a big deal, but I was wondering about messaging someone a little
more tenured one-on-one to discuss growth in contributions as well.
Please let me know

Introduction - Outreachy Application
by Roha Afzal
Hello everybody,
I am an outreachy applicant for this cohort. I am an Engineer by education and training. I have recently started web development and am familiar with kubernetes and docker. I wish to contribute to the "Enable CI/CD of content to Fedora docs site" project. Although I don't have any prior experience working with open source, I am quite thrilled about this opportunity.
Kindly suggest some of the first steps I can take to start contributing. I can see about 5 open issues on the issue tracker page however, those are around 2 years old. I was wondering if I can work on those for initial contributions? If you have better suggestions, I look forward to those.
Moreover, I am facing an issue while signing in with my FAS account which I just created. I am unable to sign in with my credentials. If anyone can help with this issue, I would be grateful!
Thanks,
Roha

Planning to Work on These Documents
by Caleb McKee
Just letting everyone know I'm planning on working on the "Package
management system" quick doc and probably "PackageKit Items Not Found" as
well. I just didn't want someone else to start working on these same
documents later and then realize they were done when they try to pull
request. I'll try to get my pull request in within the next few days.

Introduction-Outreachy Applicant
by Lubna
Hello everyone!
My name is Lubna and I'm an outreachy applicant in current round. I have some experience in web development and interested in learning devops.
I had have basic understating of Kubernetes and docker. I am looking forward to contributing to ''Enable CI/CD of content to Fedora docs site'
project.
I have created an account on FAS but unable to use those credentials here as it's giving me wrong username or password error. Do we need same FAS account to fork the repository and to make contribution?

Pull Request #271
by Caleb McKee
Hello,
Just a quick message notifying of a pull request I made. I updated the
autoupdates.adoc file and upgrading-fedora-online.adoc to reflect the
content that was on the wiki. I just wanted to make sure the pull request
reviewers were happy with this content before I started editing other docs
with "//FIXME" in a similar way. I didn't want to just start editing and
then find out later I was doing something wrong.
Whenever you get around to reviewing it, just let me know what you think so
I know if I should continue editing in a similar fashion.
Thank you!
