Hello everyone. I'm Tom Cummings. I'm from the US. I've recently retired from a full-time corporate job in IT. I worked in many positions from help desk to team and department management. I focused on infrastructure, systems/server administration, and system design. I am not a developer, but I have worked with dev teams and software development projects for z-series, i-series, and distributed platforms. I have basic skills in Perl and Python coding.
I have worked with international and remote teams across the world. I speak and understand (very rusty) German. I have a BA in History, Germanic Languages and Literature, MBA in IT Management.
I've been using Linux for +20 years - Red Hat, FreeBSD, Gentoo, Slackware, Ubuntu, and, most recently, Fedora. The IT environment I worked in was primarily MS/Windows, but with a significant Linux/Unix footprint. Currently, I am working my way through the Linux Foundation Cloud Engineering boot camp, but I don't have much practical experience in that space.
I'm working my way through the Fedora Docs team Contributing guide ( https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fedora-docs/contributing/) and learning AsciiDoc. I'll also work on setting up a workspace with Git and Vim.
I'd like to contribute to documentation in a way that is most helpful to the Fedora community while continuing to sharpen my technical capabilities, especially with servers and cloud engineering. That said, I am ready to help on whatever needs to be done.
Thanks. Tom Cummings

We are currently in the process of creating a new documentation for Fedora Server Edition. You can view the current status at: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fedora-server/. You will see, a lot has already been achieved. But there is still a lot to do.
And there is an initiative to also recreate the documentation for Fedora Cloud. But we haven't started on that so far, and nothing is showing yet.
Both endeavors would certainly meet your interests. We would be very happy if you would participate. If you decide to jump in, let me know and we can get started right away. Together we can set up the working environment, access to the repository and agree on the next steps.
I can be approached by email at any time, including through my Fedora account pboy@fedoraproject.org. Between 15:00 - 22:00 *UTC* I'm usually also lurking around on IRC #fedora-docs and #fedora-server. My IRC nick is pboyHB.
Best Peter
