Do you all care if FDSCo meets in #fedora-meeting instead of #fedora-docs?
Now, historically it has been *very valuable* to have discussions where we socialize/work/etc. on IRC. More people who are lurking are caught up in the conversation, etc.
However, I see the same thing happening on #fedora-meeting, except it is capturing lurkers from across the whole project. I notice that people who are interested in the meeting(s) either lurk on #fedora-meeting or join the channel when a meeting is announced in the source channel.
So, I am considering changing my mind on the subject, and I'm curious what you all think.
thx - Karsten
it seems to be a good idea. There maybe a better chance of getting lots more people involved. the discussions can allow communication between other parts of fedora.

Heh, I was wandering when this would pop up again :-)

Indeed

Indeed number 2

I'm tempted to agree on moving, as long as we try to keep our momentum alive on the #fedora-docs channel as well. It sometimes happens that people start some discussions on #fedora-meeting which doesn't really get "back-ported" to the real project channel / mailing-list. If we keep an eye on that, we could probably move the meeting.
OTOH: our meetings take place on Sundays, which is the day that most of the people in meeting don't really watch it (IMO). But then again, it's the challenge of getting attention!

Not anymore. Let's do it.

Since we're tangentially on this subject, and engaging our flip-flop muscles -- which I am completely in favor of doing when it makes sense -- let's also reconsider our meeting time. Tuesdays at 1600 UTC is ultimately a better time for me to do our meetings, so I'm selfishly suggesting we should change that too.
I've noticed Sunday meetings tend to drag while people are pulled in different directions by home life, myself most definitely included. I would personally much rather have a damn-the-torpedoes, full-speed-ahead meeting that takes my lunch hour at work. Our grid showed this time to be workable for pretty much everyone -- is anyone opposed to switching?
Tuesdays at 1600 hrs UTC in #fedora-meeting works for me.

It's not my favorite time on Tuesday, but it works well enough, and certainly much better than Sunday.
I'll further suggest that we move the coming meeting to the following Tuesday, if we get consensus.
This will help us get pulled into the FWN, which has a Sat. deadline prior to the Sunday meeting. I've been manually putting in our content, but I wouldn't mind letting the beat writer take care of that instead. :)
