Docs FAD - Day 1 notes

Hi all! Day 1 of the FAD wrapped up a moment ago here in Seville. We
used IRC during the day to take notes. We had a lot of discussion this
morning, but most of the FAD will probably be hands-on from here (so
less detailed minutes).
