Thanks for doing this. High traffic commits list is marked as such and
is just a recommendation rather than a requirement in the package
maintainers join page.
Agreed, this content is not really useful to a new contributor until
they understand our process better and participate in it more
regularly. Some contributors find it useful but it shouldn't be a
joining requirement.
