Hi,
as you probably know, .NET 5.0 has been released a few days ago. Do you have any plans to provide a Fedora package for it just like you do for .NET 3.1 and below? I find it very useful to have the .NET SDK in the official repos now.
Thank you for your work!
Kind regards, Marcus Wichelmann
Hi,
it boils down to: https://github.com/dotnet/core/issues/5596
We're unable to build .net5 from source, as soon as work towards that is done, it will be available in RHEL, CentOS and Fedora. The "work" includes the completion of: https://github.com/dotnet/source-build/wiki/Driving-to-zero-prebuilt-depende...

It would be nice if upstream considered building from source a requirement rather than a nice to have. Any luck talking them into raising the priority of the idea?
