--- Comment #1 from Roland Grunberg <rgrunber(a)redhat.com> ---
Is the issue that you don't see the 'Configuration' page, or that your
.gitconfig is not being picked up at all ? I tried this out in mock instance
and I do see 'Configuration' under 'Git' in the Preferences. If I create
my own
.gitconfig under $HOME it shows up as expected. Do you see the 'Git' item at
all under the 'Team 'preference group ? Are there other items under Git ? If
not then perhaps this is an issue with the plugin not being loaded to begin
with for some reason.
You could try launching Eclipse from the commandline as 'eclipse -noexit
-console' to get an OSGi console. From there type 'ss git' and see if any of
the displayed plugins are in an INSTALLED state. This would indicate they have
been located but could not be started possibly due to dependency issues. Take
note of their id and run an 'diag ID' on them to get the reason for the
failure, and feel free to post here.
