FEL F16 .iso for test

Hi,

rel-eng has missed the build of the Electronic Lab spin. A ticket [1]
has been raised with them. A FEL-F16 .iso is available [2]. If anyone
has a test system to install and test it, can you please try it?

I tried it with a Virtual Manager, and was able to use the Live DVD,
but, installing it to the virtual hard disk caused an error:

"There was an error installing the live image to your hard drive. This
could be due to bad media. Please verify your installation media."

If any one is able to test it on a real system, it will be helpful.

I have a Dell Latitude E6410 Core i5 that i can use for testing, if you
guys can tell me where to get the ISO  for the Electronic Lab 16 and tell
me what do you expect me to test, i will be happy to do it.

You can get the .isos from:

  http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/stage/16-FEL/

Try to use the LiveDVD as a desktop user. You can then try to install
it to hard disk, reboot, and see if you are able to use the desktop.

robatino has already tested the i686 version on a test system, and it
works fine. If you can test the x86_64 iso it will be helpful.

cwickert will also be testing both the .isos, soon.

Roberto,
here is the link to the ISO and the parameter for testing as we talked
today.

@Shakthi, Roberto is going to install it too in another machine while i am
going to install it on the Dell E6410, do we have a timeframe for this? is
one week enough? or you just want to know if the installation process work?
and how the live version behaves?

You can get the .isos from:

robatino has already tested the i686 version on a test system, and it
works fine. If you can test the x86_64 iso it will be helpful.

Test Installation

after rebooting

marked SEND PROFILE and i lost video for a few seconds (i am sending you
screenshots in case it helps)
i did the installation connected to the network, i get full network
working, i got the firefox auto-detect proxy and it works fine

so far i don't see any issue with the system, i will see how does it goes
with finding drivers and all that, but is working fine.

HDD division
1mb boot
524mb EFI system Partition
54 Gb Fedora x86_64 Data Partition
6.2Gb Swap
240 Gb

Robatino mentioned that the VirtualManager requires atleast 11 GB to
get the Live DVD installation to complete. Earlier, we were using 8
and 10 GB virtual hard disk, and it failed.
