Hi, guys, ngspice 24 has been released. I saw that in one of Chitlesh's posts. Will it be packaged as an RPM for F17 or F18? I am asking because I saw some discussion of the ADMS code going to another license, which may impact its release for later versions of FEL.

Hello,
That's only a rumour. Let's not head that way.
Below is the email from the author forward on ngspice-dev mailing list.

Dear Ryan, I am the original writter of the ADMS software. Somebody forwarded me this thread. I couldn' reply to the thread on the web site. Hence this email. I dont know who said that ADMS is going closed source. This software was intended to be under GPL. So I dont think this software can go closed source. I wrote this software paid by a company freescale from 2003 to June 2008. Then I improved the software from June 2008 to 2011 on my own. The company has full ownership of the code written from 2003 to June 2008. Another person and I have full ownership of the extra code we put from 2008 to 2011. Марат Якупов - the othere person- helped to the development of the tool during those periods. Please when you will make modifications to the code make sure that all contributors are acknowledged adequately. Wish you good luck, Laurent
PS: Paolo could you please add my answer to ngspice-dev? Thanks.
