Subject: Please forward this to LATAM ambassadors

Hi LATAM community members,

Bee (IRC: bee2502) is  a Fedora contributor to Diversity and CommOps team. She wanted to know the ambassadors or community members who will be a part of FLISOL - via booths, talks or workshops or as organizers.

If you have a Fedora booth or are a organizer,
Diversity team is currently working on a video showcase of diversity in Fedora community and it would be great if you can showcase the video at your booth. If you cant download the video, we can also send you some images/presentation slides which you can display related to diverse community of Fedora.

For all people involved in FLISOL in any way,
We are currently working on revitalizing Fedora women and it would be great if you can create awareness about Fedora women at FLISOL.

What is Fedora Women ?
Fedora Women is a community which aims to foster involvement of women (cis and trans) and genderqueer people in  Fedora and Free and Open Source Software.

Who can join Fedora Women ?

Fedora Women is open to any woman (cis and trans) and genderqueer person interested in Fedora Project and Free and Open Source Software. Involvement with Fedora Project as a user and/or a contributor is highly encouraged but not required. We also welcome anyone who seeks to foster involvement of women(cis and trans) and genderqueer people to use and contribute to Fedora Project, regardless of their gender.

How can you join Fedora Women?
IRC on freenode at #fedora-women or via subscribing to the mailing list at women@lists.fedoraproject.org. A link to telegram channel will be published soon (hopefully, before FLISOL).

How can you help ?
It would be great if you can ask female/non-binary contributors to join this group - they don't need to be existing Fedora contributors. As long as they are interested in Fedora Project and Free and Open Source Software, please ask them to join. We also welcome anyone who seeks to foster involvement of women(cis and trans) and genderqueer people to use and contribute to Fedora Project, regardless of their gender. So yes, male contributors can join too but the community is to promote involvement of women (cis and trans) and genderqueer people in  Fedora and Free and Open Source Software and not just a social channel. We have #fedora-social for that.

Here is a wiki page : https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Women . Diversity team is working on editing it and all the edits will be published on Thursday, so FLISOL attendees have updated info.

Please comment on this thread or mail to bee2502@fedoraproject.org so that she can connect with you and send you the video and/or the images. Also, feel free to ask any questions.

Best,
Bee
