Subject: Delete FAS fedora-[a-z]{2} LATAM country Groups
Reply-To:
Hello,
as discussed in the last meeting [1], we are considering removing the
LATAM country groups, since they have no purpose anymore.
On the ambassadors mailing list, the guys from fedora-uk said they do
have a purpose to their group, which is to have an easier way to let
people feel part of the community even without going through exhaustive
processes of being part of one of the fedora groups, like the ambassador
program.
As I see, in LATAM, we haven't been using most of these groups. For
Brazil, I believe we should delete the group, since we do not use it at all.
In 7 days, we will ask infra to remove some of them. If you are an admin
of any group, let us know if you want to have yours deleted as well. I
am copying all group admins in this message.
Here is a list of the groups and their owners:
FAS Group; Country; Admins
fedora-ar; Argentina; lbazan valentinbasel villadalmine
fedora-br; Brazil; athoscr dbruno
fedora-cl; Chile; antoniosalles lbazan
fedora-ec; Ecuador; lbazan

fedora-ni; Nicaragua; yn1v
fedora-pa; Panama; aeperezt lbazan potty xhaksx
fedora-pr; Peru; hacataka
fedora-py; Paraguay; lbazan
fedora-ve; Venezuela; gomix
Please, let us know your opinion on removing these groups. If you
believe they do have a purpose, do not hesitate on leting us hear you :)
