No dependency check in EPEL?
by Chris Adams
Is there any plan to add a dependency check before pushing packages in
EPEL? I just noticed that the latest horde-enhanced depends on
php-pecl-Fileinfo, which is not available in EPEL. It would be better
to check those dependencies before releasing packages (at least before
moving them from testing to release).

aoetools
by Bryan Hepworth
Hi All
I noticed that there is an aoetools in epel 4 but not 5. I don't know if there was a specific reason for that but I'm going to be experimenting with some AoE stuff over the next few weeks. Would anyone like to see this in epel?
Thanks

Re: iotop for EPEL5
by Kirby Zhou
EPEL5 owns python26 now, can iotop be ported to EPEL5 now?

Hmm. No. :) Other than askin the iotop guys where they got that
_netlink module from or checking on one of the python development
lists.
I wonder how hard it would be to rip out the python 2.5+ socket module
as an external package and either install it explicitly with iostat in
some non-conflicting way or rename it and install it in some
non-conflicting way that could be used by a patched iostat...

Re: [Fedora-php-devel-list] PHP packages in RHEL / EPEL 6
by Remi Collet
AS RHEL-6 will provide PHP 5.3, I have ask for a new EPEL-6 branch for
php-pecl-ncurses (php-curses no more provided by main php).
I also ask for some pear of my packages, not branched, because not
available in EL-5.
php-pear-Cache
php-pear-HTTP-OAuth
php-pear-Mail-mimeDecode
php-pear-Services-Twitter
php-pear-Services-Weather
php-phpunit-PHPUnit
php-symfony-YAML (waiting for php-channel-symfony)
php-pecl-ncurses
And I will delete php-pear-PHPUnit (as in F-13)
There is probably a lot of other PHP packages which are not available in
EL-5 (because of php or pear version) and which can be imported in EL-6.
