This is apparently a rpm bug, but not sure what the status is on fixing
it. I just changed the spec I was having this problem with to use 
BuildRequires: java-1.6.0-devel
(as it needs openjdk).

There was a yum bug in EL-6.  a updated yum has been deployed on all the EL-6 
builders

doesn't yum on the builder comes from beta-2? or epel-6 use a special yum?
