Hi all,
find below the list of topics that are planed to come up in the next EPEL SIG meeting which is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday at 17:00 UTC in #fedora-meeting on irc.freenode.org.
/topic EPEL SIG Meeting | http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL/Tasks/NextTestingStableMove -- nirik
/topic EPEL SIG Meeting | http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL/Tasks/RhelMetaData -- stahnma
/topic EPEL SIG Meeting | http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL/Tasks/Misc -- remove ntfs-3g and fuse from EPEL4
/topic EPEL SIG Meeting | http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL/Tasks/Misc -- Jeff_S: UPDATE-CAREFULLY files created as discussed?
/topic EPEL SIG Meeting | Free discussion around EPEL
You want something to be discussed? Send a note to the list in reply to this mail (please adjust the subject) and we'll add it to the schedule (I can't promise we will get to it tomorrow, but it most likely will if we don't run out of time). You can also propose topics at the end of the meeting itself when "Free discussion around EPEL" comes up.
*If your name/nick is on above list*: please give a status update on the list *and* in the wiki on the individual task pages (linked from the schedule page: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL/Schedule ). That way all the interested parties know what up ahead of the meeting; that will avoid long delays and "status update monologues" in the meeting.
Thanks everyone!

Please note that I can't be around tomorrow -- I'm trapped in a long tube flying a lot of kilometers over the ground right during the hour when the meeting is scheduled :-/ Sorry.

Not sure if anything happened there. Nirik, if you didn't prepare anything and don't have time for it I volunteer to do the hard work this Sunday.

We afaics still need use cases. Do people remember what people wanted when this idea came up on the list? Let's analyze the three most wanted datasets and put those online somewhere.
/topic EPEL SIG Meeting | http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL/Tasks/Misc -- remove ntfs-3g and fuse from EPEL4
Just remove it.

I have been swamped and haven't had a chance to do anything on this. Do we have all the dependency issues solved in testing now?
Feel free to work on it, and let me know if I can help any...

The main thing I want is for new EPEL packages to have an easy way to say: "is this package or things it provides available already in a RHEL channel" ?

Yeah, seems best.

I don't think so, I still need limph pulled from EL-4. Unresolvable dep, perfectly OK for EL-5. Requested it on this list, not sure if it was the right place. . .

Seems it was missed. I removed it now and it'll be gone with the next push.

This has been on my TODO list, but it's been pretty hectic for me lately. I plan on doing this today sometime, but I'm curious if anyone has any wording they'd like to see within the file. The basic idea is to specify that these packages are based on those found in CentOS-4, and that care should be taken when updating the EVR of the package.
