I see that in EPEL7-release there is Redis 2.x and in EPEL7-testing there is Redis 3.x
Is the version for Redis in EPEL7 going to change soon?
Or will multiple versions exist together?
This was talked about at the meeting today. The reason for the package
being put into EPEL testing was covered in this update notice:
It has been in testing for a long time looking for data on if it will
break or fix systems. If you can please test and let the packager
know. There is no plan to have side-by-side versions of redis2 and
redis3 because redis2 is end of lifed.
Where can I find documentation or discussion threads or tickets which
answer questions like this?
Normally if you don't see it in the history of EPEL-devel then it
needs to be brought up like you did why it happened. After that
looking through bodhi or similar tools to contact the person who
submitted the build.
