Name : python-paramiko
Product : Fedora EPEL 5
Version : 1.7.6
Release : 1.el5
URL : http://www.lag.net/paramiko/
Summary : A SSH2 protocol library for python
Description :
Paramiko (a combination of the esperanto words for "paranoid" and "friend") is
a module for python 2.3 or greater that implements the SSH2 protocol for secure
(encrypted and authenticated) connections to remote machines. Unlike SSL (aka
TLS), the SSH2 protocol does not require heirarchical certificates signed by a
powerful central authority. You may know SSH2 as the protocol that replaced
telnet and rsh for secure access to remote shells, but the protocol also
includes the ability to open arbitrary channels to remote services across an
encrypted tunnel. (This is how sftp works, for example.)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
v1.7.6 (Fanny) 1nov09 --------------------- * fixed bugs 411099 (sftp chdir
isn't unicode-safe), 363163 & 411910 (more IPv6 problems on windows), 413850
(race when server closes the channel), 426925 (support port numbers in host
keys)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This update can be installed with the "yum" update programs. Use

Name : classads
Product : Fedora EPEL 5
Version : 1.0.8
Release : 1.el5
URL : http://www.cs.wisc.edu/condor/classad/
Summary : Condor's classified advertisement language
Description :
Classified Advertisements (classads) are the lingua franca of
Condor. They are used for describing jobs, workstations, and other
resources. They are exchanged by Condor processes to schedule
jobs. They are logged to files for statistical and debugging
purposes. They are used to enquire about current state of the system.
A classad is a mapping from attribute names to expressions. In the
simplest cases, the expressions are simple constants (integer,
floating point, or string). A classad is thus a form of property
list. Attribute expressions can also be more complicated. There is a
protocol for evaluating an attribute expression of a classad vis a vis
another ad. For example, the expression "other.size > 3" in one ad
evaluates to true if the other ad has an attribute named size and the
value of that attribute is (or evaluates to) an integer greater than
three. Two classads match if each ad has an attribute requirements
that evaluates to true in the context of the other ad. Classad
matching is used by the Condor central manager to determine the
compatibility of jobs and workstations where they may be run.

Name : perl-Net-STOMP-Client
Product : Fedora EPEL 5
Version : 0.9.2
Release : 1.el5
URL : http://search.cpan.org/dist/Net-STOMP-Client/
Summary : STOMP object oriented client module
Description :
This module provides an object oriented client interface to interact with
servers supporting STOMP (Streaming Text Orientated Messaging Protocol). It
supports the major features of messaging brokers: SSL, asynchronous I/O,
receipts and transactions.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
* The timeout option now allows the control of different operations (such as
waiting for the initial CONNECTED frame or waiting to be able to send an
outgoing frame) independently. * Added some UTF-8 support, see the
Net::STOMP::Client::Frame module documentation for more information. * Now
performs a better socket cleanup when disconnecting. *
Net::STOMP::Client->wait_for_frames() now handles more precisely the timeout
option: if integer, it should wait for at least this number of seconds and
should not block for more than this number of seconds plus one. * All STOMP
methods now support a timeout option that specifies the maximum time that can be
used to send the frame.

Name : R-qtl
Product : Fedora EPEL 4
Version : 1.16.6
Release : 1.el4
URL : http://www.rqtl.org/
Summary : Tools for analyzing QTL experiments
Description :
R-qtl is an extensible, interactive environment for mapping
quantitative trait loci (QTLs) in experimental crosses. Our goal is to
make complex QTL mapping methods widely accessible and allow users to
focus on modeling rather than computing.
A key component of computational methods for QTL mapping is the hidden
Markov model (HMM) technology for dealing with missing genotype
data. We have implemented the main HMM algorithms, with allowance for
the presence of genotyping errors, for backcrosses, intercrosses, and
phase-known four-way crosses.
The current version of R-qtl includes facilities for estimating
genetic maps, identifying genotyping errors, and performing single-QTL
genome scans and two-QTL, two-dimensional genome scans, by interval
mapping (with the EM algorithm), Haley-Knott regression, and multiple
imputation. All of this may be done in the presence of covariates
(such as sex, age or treatment). One may also fit higher-order QTL
models by multiple imputation and Haley-Knott regression.

Name : nntpgrab
Product : Fedora EPEL 5
Version : 0.6.2
Release : 1.el5
URL : http://www.nntpgrab.nl
Summary : Download files from the usenet
Description :
With this program it is possible to download files from the usenet
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
Update to the latest bugfix release. This fixes the following bugs: - When
connecting to servers, keep the results of all DNS lookups in a cache so
reconnecting can be done faster. This should also lower the possibility of the
error message 'No hostname could be found for servername x' from occuring -
Automatically retry connecting to usenet servers when a connection error has
occured. This should fix a bug where the download queue could hang when the
network connection is unstable - Very small files could get stuck in the
download queue. Fixed - In a rare situation, the program could deadlock while
trying to remove a file from the download queue. Fixed - Really disable
activating the automatic import on Mac OS X - Don't use g_module_close() on
Win32/Win64 as it causes a crash when the program is shut down - When a network
disconnect is discovered by the NetworkManager plugin, the download queue would
always get stopped, even when the download queue was inactive. Improved the
handling of this situation - Don't wait for active decode actions to be
completed before applying configuration changes. This fixes a temporary hang or
a deadlock which could occur when changing something in the configuration while
a file is being decoded - The download queue could get in an undefined state
when applying multiple configuration changes very quick after each other. Fixed
- When using collection names > 128 characters some error messages could pop up
while adding files or performing a PAR2 repair or an unpack. Fixed - Renamed
the configuration option 'Estimated end time' to 'Estimated time remaining' to
avoid confusion. Fixes #31 - Added some more logging to improve the diagnosing
of incomplete downloads - When a collection name contains the text '.par2', all
files get marked as par2 recovery files by par2cmdline. This resulted in the
automatic remove function to remove all files in the collection. Added a
workaround for this bug

Fedora EPEL Update Notification
FEDORA-EPEL-2010-2923

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : classads
Product : Fedora EPEL 4
Version : 1.0.8
Release : 1.el4

Fedora EPEL Update Notification

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : R-qtl
Product : Fedora EPEL 5
Version : 1.16.6
Release : 1.el5

FEDORA-EPEL-2010-2361
2010-03-04 20:42:39
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : hdf
Product : Fedora EPEL 4
Version : 4.2.5
Release : 1.el4
URL : http://hdfgroup.org/products/hdf4/index.html
Summary : A general purpose library and file format for storing scientific data
Description :
HDF is a general purpose library and file format for storing scientific data.
HDF can store two primary objects: datasets and groups. A dataset is
essentially a multidimensional array of data elements, and a group is a
structure for organizing objects in an HDF file. Using these two basic
objects, one can create and store almost any kind of scientific data
structure, such as images, arrays of vectors, and structured and unstructured
grids. You can also mix and match them in HDF files according to your needs.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
New features and changes in HDF 4.2.5 include: - SDgetchunkinfo now contains
compression type and compression information. If a failure occurs while getting
compression information, the associated compression parameters will be set to -1
to indicate that no compression information was retrieved (rather than simply
failing). - A vgroup name and class name can now be more than the previous
limit of 64 characters. Two public functions (Vgetnamelen, Vgetclassnamelen)
have been provided for applications to allocate sufficient space for these
items. - SDreset_maxopenfiles was added to allow users to reset the number of
files that can be open at the same time to the system limit minus 3. - The -k
flag was added to "hdp dumpsds" to display SDSs in the order they are specified
on the command line. - The -V option to print the library version string was
added to many tools. - Many bugs were fixed. Please see the HDF 4.2.5
release notes for complete details on what has changed in this release:
http://www.hdfgroup.org/ftp/HDF/HDF_Current/src/hdf-4.2.5-RELEASE.txt

Etap is a collection of Erlang modules that provide a TAP testing client

Update Information:
CouchDB has the ability to run tests during compilation with aid of bundled

after complete removal of it from the couchdb (to avoid conflicts), so that's
why these two almost independend package submissions are bundled.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : wordpress-plugin-bad-behavior
Product : Fedora EPEL 5
Version : 2.0.36
Release : 1.el5
URL : http://www.bad-behavior.ioerror.us/
Summary : Bad Behavior plugin for WordPress
Description :
Bad Behavior is a PHP-based solution for blocking link spam and the robots
which deliver it.
Bad Behavior complements other link spam solutions by acting as a gatekeeper,
preventing spammers from ever delivering their junk, and in many cases, from
ever reading your site in the first place. This keeps your site's load down,
makes your site logs cleaner, and can help prevent denial of service conditions
caused by spammers.
Bad Behavior also transcends other link spam solutions by working in a
completely different, unique way. Instead of merely looking at the content of
potential spam, Bad Behavior analyzes the delivery method as well as the
software the spammer is using. In this way, Bad Behavior can stop spam attacks
even when nobody has ever seen the particular spam before.
Bad Behavior is designed to work alongside existing spam prevention services to
increase their effectiveness and efficiency. Whenever possible, you should run
it in combination with a more traditional spam prevention service.
This package is built for use with WordPress (wordpress), not WordPress MU. Use
wordpress-mu-plugin-bad-behavior for WordPress MU.

Name : python-paver
Product : Fedora EPEL 5
Version : 1.0.2
Release : 1.el5
URL : http://www.blueskyonmars.com/projects/paver/
Summary : Python-based build/distribution/deployment scripting tool
Description :
Paver is a Python-based build/distribution/deployment scripting tool along the
lines of Make or Rake. What makes Paver unique is its integration with commonly
used Python libraries. Common tasks that were easy before remain easy. More
importantly, dealing with your applications specific needs and requirements is
now much easier.
* Build files are just Python
* One file with one syntax, pavement.py, knows how to manage your project
* File operations are unbelievably easy, thanks to the built-in version of
Jason Orendorff’s path.py.
* Need to do something that takes 5 lines of code? It’ll only take 5 lines of
code..
* Completely encompasses distutils and setuptools so that you can customize
behavior as you need to.
* Wraps Sphinx for generating documentation, and adds utilities that make it
easier to incorporate fully tested sample code.
* Wraps Subversion for working with code that is checked out.
* Wraps virtualenv to allow you to trivially create a bootstrap script that
gets a virtual environment up and running. This is a great way to install
packages into a contained environment.
* Can use all of these other libraries, but requires none of them
* Easily transition from setup.py without making your users learn about or
even install Paver! (See the Getting Started Guide for an example).

URL : http://www.nlnetlabs.nl/unbound/
Summary : Validating, recursive, and caching DNS(SEC) resolver
Description :
Unbound is a validating, recursive, and caching DNS(SEC) resolver.
The C implementation of Unbound is developed and maintained by NLnet
Labs. It is based on ideas and algorithms taken from a java prototype
developed by Verisign labs, Nominet, Kirei and ep.net.
Unbound is designed as a set of modular components, so that also
DNSSEC (secure DNS) validation and stub-resolvers (that do not run
as a server, but are linked into an application) are easily possible.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
Cleanup with respect to obsoleting dnssec-conf. This release also fixes a few
corner cases where resolving failed for dnssec and non-dnssec domains.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This update can be installed with the "yum" update programs. Use
su -c 'yum update unbound' at the command line.
