Name : ustl
Product : Fedora EPEL 7
Version : 2.4
Release : 1.el7
URL : http://msharov.github.io/ustl/
Summary : A size-optimized STL implementation
Description :
The C++ standard template library (STL) is a collection of common containers
and algorithms in template form. Unfortunately its standard incarnation
shipped with gcc is implemented without much concern for code size. Not only
is the library itself large, the current version being over a megabyte in
size, but with all the code you instantiate by using a vector for each of
your containers, it is easy to become fearful and opt for using static
arrays instead or, worse yet, abandon C++ altogether for C. This is
especially painful to former DOS assembly programmers like myself, who fret
endlessly when the size of the executable crosses the magic 64k boundary,
forgetting that nobody cares about memory anymore.
Of course, these days everyone has gigabytes of RAM and has no compunction
about loading up OpenOffice, whose source tree is over a gigabyte in size.
Why then bother with saving a kilobyte of code here and there? I can't really
say. Maybe it's that warm fuzzy knowledge that you are making maximum possible
use of your computer's resources. Maybe it's that thrill you get after
expressing your program's functionality in the fewest possible instructions
and the minimum imaginable overhead. Or maybe it really is of no importance
and any code bloat will be easily overcome by faster processors in some near
future. I just know what I like, and it's the sight of clean, concise, and
fast code. Therefore this library.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
- Implement scope_exit and unique_resource - Implement c++11 members of
priority_queue, stack, and queue - Do not remove lvalue make_pair for c++11 -
Fix previously broken heap implementation - Fix utf8out_iterator postfix ++ to
not create a new iterator - A more thorough utf8 encoder test - Add constexpr to
definition of string::npos - Support dash shell for configure - Fix compiling
--with-libstdc++ - Fix early inclusion of system headers when using force-inline

Name : opensmtpd
Product : Fedora EPEL 7
Version : 5.9.2p1
Release : 1.el7
URL : http://www.opensmtpd.org/
Summary : Free implementation of the server-side SMTP protocol as defined by RFC 5321
Description :
OpenSMTPD is a FREE implementation of the server-side SMTP protocol as defined
by RFC 5321, with some additional standard extensions. It allows ordinary
machines to exchange e-mails with other systems speaking the SMTP protocol.
Started out of dissatisfaction with other implementations, OpenSMTPD nowadays
is a fairly complete SMTP implementation. OpenSMTPD is primarily developed
by Gilles Chehade, Eric Faurot and Charles Longeau; with contributions from
various OpenBSD hackers. OpenSMTPD is part of the OpenBSD Project.
The software is freely usable and re-usable by everyone under an ISC license.
This package uses standard "alternatives" mechanism, you may call
"/usr/sbin/alternatives --set mta /usr/sbin/sendmail.opensmtpd"
if you want to switch to OpenSMTPD MTA immediately after install, and
"/usr/sbin/alternatives --set mta /usr/sbin/sendmail.sendmail" to revert
back to Sendmail as a default mail daemon.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
Issues fixed in this release (since 5.7.3): --- - remove dead code - tons of
code cleanup and simplification - tons of code adaptations to ease portability -
reduce memory usage by invalidating envelopes cache earlier - simplify a great
deal the smtp session code - get rid of 'kick' mechanism, we'll reintroduce a
better one - all smtpd processes now use the pledge() API - kill support for
'dbm' db type, it cannot be made to work for us - introduce "listen on socket" -
enqueuer is now setgid to avoid attacks against offline queue [1] - fix mailq /
smtpctl show queue breakage - plug two memory leaks and one descriptor leak -
fix error code path for delivery loop that can lead to a fatal() [1] follow-up
to the Qualys Security audit fixes from 5.7.3

Name : iipsrv
Product : Fedora EPEL 6
Version : 1.0.0
Release : 1.0.el6
URL : http://iipimage.sourceforge.net
Summary : Light-weight streaming for viewing and zooming of ultra high-resolution images
Description :
Light-weight streaming client-server system for the web-based viewing and
zooming of ultra high-resolution images. It is designed to be bandwidth
and memory efficient and usable even over a slow internet connection.
The system can handle both 8 and 16 bit images, CIELAB colorimetric images and
scientific imagery such as multispectral images. The fast streaming is
tile-based meaning the client only needs to download the portion of the whole
image that is visible on the screen of the user at their current viewing
resolution and not the entire image.
This makes it possible to view, navigate and zoom in real-time around
multi-gigapixel size images that would be impossible to download and
manipulate on the local machine. It also makes the system very scalable as
the number of image tile downloads will remain the same regardless of the
size of the source image. In addition, to reduce the bandwidth necessary even
further, the tiles sent back are dynamically JPEG compressed with a level of
compression that can be optimized for the available bandwidth by the client.

Summary : Self-signed certificate generator
Description :
A utility to aid in the creation of more secure "self-signed"
certificates. The certificates created by this tool are generated in a

up a full PKI environment and without exposing the machine to a risk of
false signatures from the service certificate.
