Fedora EPEL 6 Update: libslz-1.1.0-2.el6
by updates@fedoraproject.org

Fedora EPEL Update Notification
FEDORA-EPEL-2017-62625ee2aa
2017-02-28 19:54:44.345401
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : libslz
Product : Fedora EPEL 6
Version : 1.1.0
Release : 2.el6
URL : http://1wt.eu/projects/libslz/
Summary : StateLess Zip
Description :
SLZ is a fast and memory-less stream compressor which produces an output that
can be decompressed with zlib or gzip. It does not implement decompression at
all, zlib is perfectly fine for this.
The purpose is to use SLZ in situations where a zlib-compatible stream is
needed and zlib's resource usage would be too high while the compression ratio
is not critical. The typical use case is in HTTP servers and gateways which
have to compress many streams in parallel with little CPU resources to assign
to this task, and without having to limit the compression ratio due to the
memory usage. In such an environment, the server's memory usage can easily be
divided by 10 and the CPU usage by 3.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : dsniff
Product : Fedora EPEL 6
Version : 2.4
Release : 0.23.b1.el6
URL : http://www.monkey.org/~dugsong/dsniff/
Summary : Tools for network auditing and penetration testing
Description :
A collection of tools for network auditing and penetration testing. Dsniff,
filesnarf, mailsnarf, msgsnarf, urlsnarf and webspy allow to passively monitor
a network for interesting data (passwords, e-mail, files). Arpspoof, dnsspoof
and macof facilitate the interception of network traffic normally unavailable
to an attacker (e.g, due to layer-2 switching). Sshmitm and webmitm implement
active monkey-in-the-middle attacks against redirected SSH and HTTPS sessions
by exploiting weak bindings in ad-hoc PKI.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
- Added patch to allow building dsniff with OpenSSL >= 1.1.0 - Added patch to
correct a typo related to the -remote option
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This update can be installed with the "yum" update programs. Use
su -c 'yum update dsniff' at the command line.

[SECURITY] Fedora EPEL 6 Update: python-cjson-1.1.0-9.el6
by updates@fedoraproject.org

Fedora EPEL Update Notification
FEDORA-EPEL-2017-2f218dd2b9
2017-02-28 19:54:44.345111
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : python-cjson
Product : Fedora EPEL 6
Version : 1.1.0
Release : 9.el6
URL : https://pypi.python.org/pypi/python-cjson
Summary : Fast JSON encoder/decoder for Python
Description :
This module implements a very fast JSON encoder/decoder for Python.
JSON stands for JavaScript Object Notation and is a text based lightweight
data exchange format which is easy for humans to read/write and for machines
to parse/generate. JSON is completely language independent and has multiple
implementations in most of the programming languages, making it ideal for
data exchange and storage.
The module is written in C and it is up to 250 times faster when compared to
the other python JSON implementations which are written directly in python.
This speed gain varies with the complexity of the data and the operation and
is the the range of 10-200 times for encoding operations and in the range of
100-250 times for decoding operations.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
This update prevents `python-cjson` from crashing when attempting to parse
heavily nested JSON structures (which could be exploited for denial of service
purposes, against any application that uses `python-cjson` to parse arbitrary
input).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This update can be installed with the "yum" update programs. Use
su -c 'yum update python-cjson' at the command line.
For more information, refer to "YUM", available at
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/7/...

Product : Fedora EPEL 6
Version : 0.4.1
Release : 9.el6
URL : https://bitbucket.org/tiran/defusedxml
Summary : XML bomb protection for Python stdlib modules
Description :
The defusedxml package contains several Python-only workarounds and fixes for
denial of service and other vulnerabilities in Python's XML libraries. In order
to benefit from the protection you just have to import and use the listed
functions / classes from the right defusedxml module instead of the original
module.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
This updates `defusedxml` to the last upstream release which works with Python
2.6, 0.4.1. It also includes various package layout improvements. It renames the
