Summary: Changing Background doesn't populate with images
Product: Fedora EPEL
Version: epel9
Hardware: x86_64
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Component: cinnamon
Severity: medium

Target Milestone: ---
Classification: Fedora
Description of problem:
When I right click on the desktop, choose Change Desktop Background, it doesn't
show any wallpapers.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
cinnamon-5.6.8-2.el9.src.rpm
How reproducible:
as described, every time.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Right click on the desktop
2. Choose Change Desktop Background
3. Click on any folder or add one
Actual results:
Nothing is displayed and nothing can be chosen as background
Expected results:
Images to choose as background should appear
Additional info:
This has been addressed in other ports:
https://salsa.debian.org/cinnamon-team/cinnamon/-/commit/6172cacec9d5012ad0…
The workaround found in the patch is to edit:
/usr/share/cinnamon/cinnamon-settings-users/cinnamon-settings-users.py
/usr/share/cinnamon/cinnamon-settings/bin/imtools.py
/usr/share/cinnamon/cinnamon-settings/modules/cs_backgrounds.py
/usr/share/cinnamon/cinnamon-settings/modules/cs_user.py
and change instances of Image.ANTIALIAS to Image.LANCZOS
This works and the problem is solved in my case.

Summary: slurmd fails to start

Hello!
There seems to be a "bug" caused apparently by a typo that is preventing slurmd
V24 from starting.
The log stats that a plugin is failing to load (from journalctl -r):
>
Jan 07 16:47:36 cnode12.xxxxx.pt systemd[1]: Failed to start slurmd.service -
Slurm node daemon.
Jan 07 16:47:36 cnode12.xxxxx.pt systemd[1]: slurmd.service: Failed with result
'exit-code'.
Jan 07 16:47:36 cnode12.xxxxx.pt systemd[1]: slurmd.service: Main process
exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILURE
Jan 07 16:47:36 cnode12.xxxxx.pt slurmd[6473]: slurmd: fatal: Can't find plugin
for select/cons_res
Jan 07 16:47:36 cnode12.xxxxx.pt slurmd[6473]: slurmd: error: cannot find
select plugin for select/cons_res
Jan 07 16:47:36 cnode12.xxxxx.pt slurmd[6473]: slurmd: error: Couldn't find the
specified plugin name for select/cons_res looking at all files
Jan 07 16:47:36 cnode12.xxxx.pt slurmd[6473]: slurmd: slurmd version 24.05.2
started
But the thing is that the file name in the usr/lib64/slurm directory is called
select_con_tres and not select_con_res , as the daemon requests.
I, as a good portuguese, created a copy of the select_con_tres to create a
select_con_res and the daemon started, but I may be navigating some deep murky
waters..
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.systemctl start slurmd
2.
3.
