Description of problem: Tools from dcmtk RPM in latest version 3.6.4-11.el8.x86_64 segfaults. Version 3.6.4-9.el8.x86_64 works correctly.

Steps to Reproduce: Run for example echoscu command: echoscu -aet local_test -aec NRSTORE $(hostname) 104
Actual results: [root@nr2 ~]# echoscu -aet local_test -aec NRSTORE $(hostname) 104 Segmentation fault (core dumped)
Expected results: No segfault after running command

--- Comment #4 from Carl George 🤠 carl@redhat.com --- Based on this Ubuntu bug report [0], the fix for CVE-2021-41687 introduced a regression. That has been fixed upstream [1]. I've submitted that commit as a backport patch for the EPEL 8 [2] and EPEL 9 [3] packages. If anyone is able, please test out the scratch build RPMs [4][5] to see if this is sufficient to resolve the issue.
