Moving off

Hello Guys/Gals,
I've been off for a long time. I am in my final year so I am pretty much busy with a lot of things. A lot of you helped me out when I needed help and I just wanted to make sure no one remembers me as some one who came and went away without saying anything(I remember someone telling me the same when I joined Fedora Project). So here's it. Since am busy with my college and studies I'll not be able to actively participate with Fedora Project from now on. However, my love for Fedora is a never ending one. It was great meeting you guys specially Ankur(one of the most helpful people I've came across). Hope I can return after my college finishes and I manage to find time.

Getting Started With F18 and The Join List

Hi All... Despite I come using Linux -and having already installed few
Fedora-Based distros -from Fuduntu 2012 to Blag 160k since (just) 2009- I
keep on having troubles...
- Trying To Install Fedora 18 (in an Asus Eee901 w external Monitor) the
process stops and shows some 'scary' mesages like
"NOTICE: MX (execute disable) protect cannot be enabled: NON-PAE Kernel" so
I thought It was something Related to UEFI.. or else...
- Where Can I Find Detailed Information to Install The F18 CD (Dated March
2013)?
(I can't find any info in the brand new Forum...)

Hello friend's,
I have a PC with CRT monitor model Benq P776 year 2004. when i want to
install fedora 18, it is shown a message stating that " out of range".
Where do you think the problem?
please help me.

Greetings, everyone!
I have been looking for a way to help the FOSS community, and during the
Boston GNU/Linux Fest it was recommended that I visit the Fedora table.
I'm looking for a structured group to join and do something useful for
the community, and I was told that Fedora has the structure and
organization that I seek.
Anyhow, I have been a Debian user for years, am a FOSS advocate (read
"zealot" there), and am more than willing to focus on Fedora if I can be
useful here, instead. I did install it on my laptop, and have been
using it for a week.
I have a Jack-of-All-Trades background in IT, so I'm not a master of any
subject, so I am guessing that I would be able to serve the community
better in the Ambassador or Marketing areas, but it is naturally too
early to tell. I have joined the Fedora site (username "uplink"), have
subscribed to a few mailing lists, and am going to start digging in,
using the "Explore the Fedora Project" page as a guide.
I'm from Western Massachusetts, and I don't know of a lot of FOSS
activity out here, but I haven't spent too much time looking. Maybe
that will change in the future!
I hope to be able to contribute something to the project.

High Performance Computer Related Projects

[X-post] You can help with testing the Fedora 19 release candidates!

Hi!
I hope a lot of folks looking to get started with contributing to Fedora
are still around! I have here, an *easy* way of helping the community
make a better Fedora 19 release. It's rather simple really:
- Download the iso files
- Run them on a virtual machine (any virtual machine will do!)
- Report bugs/issues
- * to the QA list[1]
- * to bugzilla[2]
You need no skills for this at all. Well, you need to know how to
download a file off the internet, run a virtual machine, and erm, write
an email.
Mails about the various Test Candidates are sent to the "test announce"
mailing list[3]. Here's the most recent announcement that describes the
Alpha Release Candidate 2[4]. The e-mail has detailed information on
what you need to do, and how to do it.
If you like helping with testing, you could even sit in the blocker
meetings and learn more details about the current status of the Fedora
19 release.
The more testing each release gets before hand, the better it is. The
more bugs we know about, the more we can fix in time. We need your
help!
I've been trying to test as many candidates as I can. It takes about 30
minutes at the most, if you run the entire battery of tests.
