Some of the text there needs to be updated to clarify how the many-to-many mentoring in the community works. At the moment, it does seem to indicate one-to-one mentoring, and that's because some teams do require sponsors, for example the package maintainers team: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/package-maintainers/Joining_the_Package...
Others, most others, don't.

I'll go add a note on top of the page to make it clearer.
Big fan of the many to many model, though. That way we can see the evolution throughout
+1, it works a lot better, also ensures that there's no single point of contact/failure.
