Hello everyone! 👋 Applied AI/ML engineer, OSINT enthusiast, ex-distro-hopper — now on Silverblue 44
Hi all! I work in applied AI/ML research engineering — I touch the whole stack (models, tooling, infrastructure, benchmarking, dataset pipelines), but I always find my way back to the data. Python is my home turf, whether it's ETL, experiment harnesses, or the glue code in between.
Outside of ML work, I'm deeply into OSINT — I love the investigative side of things: following data trails, correlating sources, and reconstructing what actually happened from fragments. Between that and ML, my whole life is basically "take something messy and complex, and make it make sense."
Distro history: Arch, Pop!_OS, and assorted others over the years. Silverblue 44 is what finally stuck — the atomic model clicked for me the same way reproducible environments did for my Python projects. I run a container-first workflow: distrobox "lanes" for model benchmarking, dataset work, and my OSINT tooling (keeping investigation toolchains isolated from each other is honestly a nice security hygiene bonus too). Lately I've been going underneath distrobox into rootless Podman internals — user namespaces, subuid mappings, storage, networking. Untangling complex systems until they're obvious is genuinely my favorite thing to do.
