Hello,
My name is Michael Caballero. I'm currently a student studying Cybersecurity nearing the end of my 4-year degree. My current interests are network security, encryption, low-level programming, and interacting with the Linux programming interface.
I've been using Linux for some time now. I started off flipping back and forth between Ubuntu and windows. I eventually decided to dive deep into Linux by trying my hand at Arch Linux. I ended up really enjoying learning the inner workings of Linux, and learned a lot about coding in C by doing so. I recently moved to Fedora41 after purchasing a Framework laptop since the distribution was listed as one that is officially supported by the device.
I'm passionate about open-source software, right to repair, and finding use for old technology for the sake of reducing e-waste. I decided to work on contributing to Linux to gain more experience with open-source and Linux in general, as well as to potentially help improve the operating system I use on a daily basis.
My FAS username is mcaballero. I'm currently working through my "WelcomeToFedora" ticket. I look forward to contributing to the project!
