Hiya,
Hi Ankur,
I'm trying to collect some feedback on whatcanidoforfedora.org (wcidff). If you have a few minutes, can you please try it out and then answer these questions?
- are you a Fedora contributor?
Yes.
- - have you used wcidff before?
Yes. A couple of times to checkout what's there.
- - how did you learn of wcidff?
Someone from CommOps told me about it.
- - what language did you use wcidff in?
English.
- - what device did you use to access wcidff?
I've used it in a desktop as well as a mobile device.
- - did you find it useful?
It looks uber cool and am pretty sure it can help people find what they are looking for.
- - did it successfully find you something to work on or a team to join?
Not at this moment. I'll consider using it when I want to join a team :)
- - how much time did it take you to find a task/team?
- - do you think wcidff followed the right path in finding you a
task/team?
Yes. The categories make it really easy.
- - did you enjoy using wcidff?
Of course I did :)
- - would you recommend wcidff to others?
wcidff is the first thing I recommend.
- - did wcidff help you understand the workings of the community better?
To an extent, yes.
- - do you feel more confident about contributing after using wcidff?
I don't think it provides you any confidence as such. If the user is motivated to contribute, wcidff can help him/her identify places to contribute. In the end, it's the level of motivation which matters.
Cheers, Sachin.
Just yes/no answers will suffice, but feel free to give some comments if you wish :)

Hi Ankur,
Thanks, Sachin!
I forgot to say - feel free to mail me the feedback privately. It doesn't have to be on the ML :)
Hi Ankur,
Is it okay if I convert this as a Google form and forward it to my university FOSS club group? I'm pretty sure we can get some amount of feedback about WCIDFF from some non-contributors as well. This might as well encourage a few people to get started with Fedora :)
Cheers, Sachin.

Hey Ankur, just seeing this - I think collecting some of this feedback is a good idea. :)
- are you a Fedora contributor?
Yes.
- have you used wcidff before?
Yes!
- how did you learn of wcidff?
From other Fedora contributors (before I was an active contributor)
- what language did you use wcidff in?
English
- what device did you use to access wcidff?
Desktop/laptop
- did you find it useful?
Yes.
- did it successfully find you something to work on or a team to join?
Yes.
- how much time did it take you to find a task/team?
Visited around 7-10 times before "settling" on one place
- do you think wcidff followed the right path in finding you a
task/team?
For content creation / community work, yes.
- did you enjoy using wcidff?
Yes.
- would you recommend wcidff to others?
Yes.
- did wcidff help you understand the workings of the community better?
For understanding what different parts there are to contribute to, yes (helped show other non-technical areas to contribute to)
- do you feel more confident about contributing after using wcidff?
Not much - wcidff was a pointer, but not much tooling for getting started. That was usually up to the receiving ends of whatever place you reached in the clickthrough. Some teams pointed you towards excellent on-boarding material (e.g. Fedora Magazine) while others dumped you at their wiki page. From the perspective of a new contributor, this was difficult and confusing to figure out, especially if the wiki page wasn't well-maintained or unclear about how to get involved.
Just yes/no answers will suffice, but feel free to give some comments if you wish :)
