Introduction and Request to Join

Hello Fedora Join SIG!

My name is Osama Albahrani, a computer science student at North Carolina
State University, and the Treasurer of the NCSU Linux Users' Group (LUG)
https://lug.ncsu.edu/. I recently got involved in trying to give back to
Fedora; things like trying to system-upgrade to Rawhide
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2243872, testing dual-booting
macOS and Fedora 39
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/[e-mail]/thread/Q3RVL22GCD4GX5J6KCBOEX2YL4FFRWDJ/
(actually triple-booting now alongside macOS and Windows and it still
works), patching Homebrew to run on Silverblue (upstreamed
https://github.com/Homebrew/brew/pull/15656!), and a couple minor changes
in scripts (updating
https://github.com/pypingou/fedora-active-user/pull/26 a shebang, and
moving https://pagure.io/fedora-join/Fedora-Join/pull-request/288
another). I also plan to package Hyfetch
https://github.com/hykilpikonna/hyfetch soon, still trying to figure out
the details.

I wanted to modify QA:Testcase_dualboot_with_macOS
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Testcase_dualboot_with_macOS to update
the Disk Utility details to reflect the interfase in the newer macOS
version. However I got the "your account must have at least one non cla*
group to be able to login and edit" message when trying to log in. I was
interested in joining the Fedora Join SIG for a bit, so I guess this email
is my request to do so. Not sure if this SIG is "non cla*" but I am
interested in joining either way.

Hi Osama,

Welcome to the community! Apologies for the late reply. This one ended
up in spam folder somehow.

Ah, yes, the wiki requires one to be in at least one FAS group. It's an
anti-spam requirement. Otherwise we had lots of random accounts spew
advertisements over the wiki :(

I've added you to the Fedora Join FAS group now. So you should be able
to edit the wiki. Please let us know if we can help with anything else.

I've also added you to the Fedora Join pagure group and opened a
"welcome to Fedora" ticket for you, just so folks there get to know you
too. You already seem to know the community pretty well, so please feel
free to close this whenever you think you don't need it any more:
