Hello again everybody! After combing through the docs (sorry for the bunch of PRs..), I noticed the piece about seeking a mentor! I would love to both be a great community member and great contributor. Thanks for reading!

Could you link to the post you found please? We don't currently have a general mentoring programme in place. We do Outreachy and so on, of course, but they are more formal and have different application processes.
The usual way of learning in the community is through "many to many" relationships. That is, all of us speak to all of us, and that way we share information with everyone.

Here is [one example](https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fedora-join/#_ways_to_get_involved) where it mentions mentoring

Big fan of the many to many model, though. That way we can see the evolution throughout

Thanks Mick.
Some of the text there needs to be updated to clarify how the many-to-many mentoring in the community works. At the moment, it does seem to indicate one-to-one mentoring, and that's because some teams do require sponsors, for example the package maintainers team: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/package-maintainers/Joining_the_Package...
Others, most others, don't.
You've already seen the issue about the page needing to be updated: https://pagure.io/fedora-join/fedora-join-docs/issue/19
I'll go add a note on top of the page to make it clearer.

+1, it works a lot better, also ensures that there's no single point of contact/failure.
