Newcomer introduction - archer69m-i-a

Hello everyone,

I'm Kevin, username Archer_M-I-A (FAS username: archer69m-i-a ).

Just introduced myself quickly on Matrix, but wanted to do it here as well (to get used to mailing lists).
Currently in STEM but not a coder for a living (hope to improve on this in the years to come).

French Fedora user since ~2023, from a simple dual-boot to a full Fedora system on my laptop.
Fedora was also my first true step into the FOSS world, although I've been using some FOSS before, but without thinking too much about it.

My current objective is to deepen my understanding of the Linux ecosystem and contribute back what was given to me through some awesome tools I've been using.
I'm also more invested in following the impact of Linux on the gaming ecosystem, and hope that more people can realize that gaming on a Linux PC as a daily-driver is achievable without losing much.

The current scope of my FOSS and Fedora contributions would be on French l10n topics.
As a Fedora GNOME user, it seems easier and not too overwhelming to put efforts into French l10n activities as a way to get introduced to large open-source organizations such as Fedora and GNOME.
I started recently to contribute to GNOME French l10n, and plan to do the same for Fedora if possible. And I hope one day to be able to gain enough confidence to broaden the scope of my contributions.

Finally, hope to be able to connect with this community regarding FOSS, that is more important today than never before.
