Hi all,
Just wondering if i could get a few items for the booklets (for reference, check the PDF of last years booklet [1] of how this was then):
* updated Code of Conduct * Details of the evening events (location, time, any extra details) * the intro to flock * sponsor list + logos * keynote talks, dates and speaker details
Additionally, IIRC, it was pretty much a consensus that haveing the schedule in the booklet was too much of a hassle, as talks were inevitablly going to change, but instead have the big wall schedule for each day[2], so we can move the talks around, and also have blank ones we can fill out for adhoc additions.
Just wondering when the schedule will be finalised, so i can start doing the cards for the bigwall as there is nothing on the sched site as of right now[3].
cheers, ryanlerch

I believe this is still current: https://getfedora.org/code-of-conduct
- Details of the evening events (location, time, any extra details)
- the intro to flock
Probably this is something we want either Matthew or Brian to write.
- sponsor list + logos
I'm also waiting (IIRC) to know what sponsor level to show openSUSE for the website, as well as one other potential sponsor identity (IIRC). So once we have that it will help close Ryan's loop too.

I was going to ask about this as well. There are some kernel folks who want to meet up at Flock around one of the sessions, AIUI, so it would be great if we could help them choose the right day.

Ryan Lerch is working on the booklet IIRC. He should chime in here, but I'm guessing end of next week would work. He is traveling starting on August 18 and needs time to include the intro in his overall formatting work.

Hi Ryan,
Small edit for my IRC, should be jmadriag (drop the final "a").
Also, for Wackenhammer, could you include that Bon Me food truck will be providing meals and that we will be serving beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages?

I will need to be set up in the IRC channel when we get up there -- no nick yet for me that can be put into the booklet.
Thanks!

I think you have this now from: https://pagure.io/design/issue/518
- Text for the Wednesday evening event
I wrote something here: https://flocktofedora.org/#events
Also, optionally, we need:
- a review of the text for the games night event (i just wrote this up)
This looks fine, although we might want to also note: * Pizza and beverages will be available * (weak suggestion) "6:00pm" instead of "1800"
- perhaps a new welcome to flock message (i just changed last years by

My understanding is folks in Westford would get this printed, stapled and transport. Or at worst, is there a copy shop in Cape Cod that could do it?

Hi all,
Just wondering if i could get a few items for the booklets (for reference, check the PDF of last years booklet [1] of how this was then):
- updated Code of Conduct
I believe this is still current: https://getfedora.org/code-of-conduct
Yes. We should add the following paragraph, modified from last year:
Attendees who are in violation of this policy or local laws may be subject to removal and further actions as deemed necessary by the Fedora Council. Whether an attendee is in violation is at the sole discretion of the conference staff. Anyone with a concern relating to the code of conduct is encouraged to either email the Flock conference staff (flock-staff@fedoraproject.org) or talk directly to a Flock conference staff member. Flock staff members have a special STAFF identifier on their event badges.

Jen please see the getting help section below Mo please see the getting help section and map notes below
Additional edit notes:
Page 2: QR Code
Use title case under QR Code
Page 3: Emergencies
IN AN EMERGENCY, CALL 911. This is the emergency services number in United States (similar to 112 in Europe). If you can, also have someone contact an event organizer, but in case of a fire or health emergency or anything that could require emergency services please call 911 first.
Page 3: Getting help from Flock staff
If you need help quickly, you can find Brian Exelbierd (bexelbie), Jen Madriaga (jmadriaga), Mo Duffy (mizmo) on irc.freenode.net in #flock-help. You can also text or call Brian at +1 (919) 414-8915, Jen at +1 (XXX) XXX-XXXX, Mo at +1 (XXX) XXX-XXXX. Remember that you may need to dial '00' instead of a '+' on your phone. All of them speak English and can be of help with local language issues.
Pages 4, 5 and 7: Maps
I believe we only need one map that should show the property and the directions to the Wednesday Night event. I hope Mo can help here.
Page 8 - Hotel layout
I am not sure this is worth the effort. If we want to do this, maps can be downloaded from the hotel website.
Page 9 - Blogging
Replace: If you were subsidized to come to Flock, we ask that you add yourself to Fedora Planet and write at least one blog post about the event. We'll be asking for your links later.
With: If you were subsidized to come to Flock, we ask that you add yourself to Fedora Planet and write at least one blog post following the guidelines you were sent. We'll be asking for your links later.
Page 9: IRC
I believe there was a decision to not do per-room channels this year. Can someone refresh my memory?
Page 9: Telegram
The link is now: https://t.me/flocktofedora
Pages 10-15: Schedule and Ads
+1 to not printing a schedule
No ads have been provided by sponsors.
Page 16: Sponsor List
Please use the list from the website. There may be 1-2 additions this week.

That should be fine. Ryan do you want to grab a map from OSM / stamen or do you need help with that?

I think this would be worthwhile as some of the rooms are separated off from the main block and it would help people with wayfinding.

Done and done! I really do love the stamen maps!

Added roomplans for the first and second floors. I based these off the maps provided on the venue's website [1], so not 100% sure if the locations of the doors are correct. According to these maps, it seems that you might have to enter the Osterville room by going through either Grand I or Orleans, so was a little unsure of that. Not a huge deal, as people are likely just to use these maps to get to the general area and then look at the (awesome) room signs.
Additionally, the maps on the venue's website didnt really show a solid location for the Barnstable room, so there is just an arrow pointing out the door to the lobby and a label saying Barnstable is this way.

Place 919-402-7952 for my number. Also, add Jenni McGinnis in getting help section. Her number is +1 (984) 888-6969

Phone numbers updated now.
Does we also need Jenni's IRC nick to put in this section.

Wednesday Night: - Offsite Event at Professor Wackehammers - Mo do you have the walking directions? - 5:30 pm - 8:30pm (after this the venue opens to the public)
- the intro to flock
- sponsor list + logos
See website repo. There is one more sponsor who may get added this week.
- keynote talks, dates and speaker details
There are no keynotes.
Additionally, IIRC, it was pretty much a consensus that haveing the schedule in the booklet was too much of a hassle, as talks were inevitablly going to change, but instead have the big wall schedule for each day[2], so we can move the talks around, and also have blank ones we can fill out for adhoc additions.> Just wondering when the schedule will be finalised, so i can start doing the cards for the bigwall as there is nothing on the sched site as of right now[3].
Sched.org will be published this week. Kristyna can help with printing and cutting these if we can get the files for preparation (in Brno). Let me know. regards,

You make a right when leaving hotel. It's a straight shot. They're both on Main Street. Google has walking directions.
