Who has the power to do this? :)
I'll plead the same travel schedule that's kept you busy and move it up to the top of tomorrow's to-do list. :-)

Yeah not at all complaining -- just making sure it's near the top of _some_ list. :) Also, I notice that it's done. So, thanks. :)

Could we also update the description? Currently it reads:
"Flock, now in its second year, is a conference for Fedora contributors to come together, discuss new ideas, work to make those ideas a reality, and continue to promote the core values of the Fedora community: Freedom, Friends, Features, and First.
This year's event will be held in Prague. Join our email list to get updates as they happen. You can also register and submit a talk proposal now!"

Ruth, did you want any assistance updating the site? I noticed the site still points at Prague, et al. and I could pitch in. I know my way around WP fairly well, so if someone wants to extend edit rights I'll be glad to do some work here.
Sorry! There was A Series of Unfortunate Events. And then the site actually was not even alive at all for a while. The good news is that it is now and:
- We have a hotel reg link - Luke has gotten the reg/cfp site up again - I should be able to post all of those and get it all in order again this weekend.
If that doesn't happen, I'll send out a yelp for help.

We have to change this theme next year... I think I've found all of the hidden bits referring to last year, but if anyone sees another one, please let me know.

Peter

The Rochester link on flocktofedora.org seems to be broken:
http://wikitravel.org/en/Rochester_New_York
Which should be:
http://wikitravel.org/en/Rochester_%28New_York%29
Thanks,
luke
Not exactly a date issue, but css seems to be broken or not loading for https://flocktofedora.org. I tried multiple browsers but it doesn't seem to be working. Is it just me?

Hi,
I had accessed the website few days back and it was accessible properly till then. Now not sure what went wrong, I am able to access it but the page looks broken as it's not getting properly rendered.

I see that:
*Submit a talk proposal* in *Latest News* is from 2014.
While the *Submit a talk!* box links to https://register.flocktofedora.org, the text "You can also register and submit a talk proposal now!" points to http://flock-lmacken.rhcloud.com/new - that probably being the same app on OpenShift, but it is confusing.
http://flocktofedora.net/submit-a-talk/ says: "The third Flock conference will be held August 12-15, 2015 in Prague, Czech Republic"
The title page displays only Red Hat as a sponsor, but other pages (almost all) list all the sponsors from 2014.
We really need to scrap this WordPress theme and start over. It's obtuse, and changing things each year means torturously finding all of those hidden corners. I haven't posted it to Facebook yet because there's still a 2014 that I can't find anywhere that shows in the FB preview.
I don't know about the CSS problems--nothing there has changed, and it's loading for me.
I found the issue with broken css. We are serving certain css and assets like images using https://flocktofedora.net and not https://flocktofedora.org whereas the ssl certificate that we are using is for *.rhcloud.com. Now browsers will throw errors when I'll try to browse https://flocktofedora.org which I can add an exception but since I didn't knew about https://flocktofedora.net, I didn't add any exception for that and it was failing. To fix this issue, we should start serving all the assets from a single domain and probably get a certificate for flocktofedora.org. In the mean time, one can just go to https://flocktofedora.net and add ssl exception.

So, not to throw _more_ crap on the pile, but.... the "Latest News" setion still has "Submit a talk proposal" for _last_ year. Maybe just axe that whole section?
Does anyone have time to help fix these things? The site really needs a do-over. Paul has a good suggestion of a conference-oriented WP theme.

Ryan clearly has good experience with WP themes with the magazine. But I don't know about his time right now....

If someone would be willing to give me access to the machine, I'd be happy to help with maintenance until we can figure out a longer term solution. I can also help by trying to set up a test conference site at a host I own, so we can see how well the WP theme/plugin Ruth mentioned above works.
Paul I can help you if you like setting up the new WP theme, feel free to ping me anytime.
Thanks,
