1 August: the sirens
by Rafal Luzynski
Hello everybody,
I assume that most of you will arrive to Krakow on 1 August
because this seems to be the most convenient date. Please
be aware that every year that day at 17:00 (5 pm) the civil
defense sirens are activated for about 1 minute in (probably)
whole Poland. The aim is to commemorate the anniversary of
the Warsaw Uprising. That's not a surprise that the special
celebration takes place in Warsaw. Please don't be alarmed
nor scared, it's not going to announce an air ride nor any other
similar danger.
I hope you'll all have a safe travel to Poland and back home.

Projector Resolution for Slides & Demos
by Brian Exelbierd
Hi Everyone,
If you're like me, slides are starting to come together[0] and you may
be wondering how much screen real estate you really have.
We recommend you use 1280x800 (16:10 ratio). This is the native
resolution of both kinds of projectors in use at the hotel.
All rooms have VGA and HDMI connectors.
For those of you interested in the details, the projector in Picasso is
a NEC PA672W. The other conference rooms have NEC P502W.
All rooms have screens:
Picasso: 367 x 229 cm
Monet and Rembrandt: 290 x 180 cm
Malczewski: 340 x 210 cm
Chełmoński: 340 x 210 cm
Matejko: 240 x 240 cm
Canaletto: 240 cm x 240 cm
I look forward to seeing your projected backdrops to your fantastic
talks and workshops.
regards,
bex

Travel Reimbursement and Accomodation
by Bhagyashree Uday
Hi,
Since FLOCK is in about two weeks, I want to book my tickets as soon as
possible. However, I haven't received any mail about travel reimbursement
or accomodation details yet.
I had a few questions :
1. Do we have to book our own accomodation/hotels ?
2. Is the round trip flight fare reimbursed ? Is there a cap on the
reimbursement amount ? Also, are connecting tickets fine ? It would be
great if someone can shed some light on this.
Cheers,
Bee

Yeah, someone sent out an email *today* for all speakers to register.

Not to be negative, but the registration page is not good
by thomas@redhat.com
All -
I am trying to register. I clicked the "register" button at
https://register.flocktofedora.org/, but all I see is "view your
submitted talks" and "current registrations." I don't see anywhere to
actually register.
If I click "current registrations," I see a list of people registered,
but there is no way that I can see to add myself.
What am I doing wrong? Firefox 47.0 on Fedora 24 x86_64, if that helps.
