Thanks very much! I will certainly do so.

If ibus-typing-booster is a better solution, is it not possible to make it
available with the official release?

[mfabian@fedora ~]$ unzip -t NotoSansSinhala-v2.006.zip | grep
NotoSansSinhala-Regular.ttf
testing: NotoSansSinhala/googlefonts/ttf/NotoSansSinhala-Regular.ttf OK
testing: NotoSansSinhala/full/ttf/NotoSansSinhala-Regular.ttf OK
testing: NotoSansSinhala/hinted/ttf/NotoSansSinhala-Regular.ttf OK
testing: NotoSansSinhala/unhinted/ttf/NotoSansSinhala-Regular.ttf OK
[mfabian@fedora ~]$
I removed the rpm packages google-noto-sans-sinhala-* and then copied the .ttf
fonts from NotoSansSinhala-v2.006.zip to ~/.fonts/
For example:
cp ./NotoSansSinhala/full/ttf/NotoSansSinhala-Regular.ttf .fonts
I found that both NotoSansSinhala/googlefonts/ttf/NotoSansSinhala-Regular.ttf
and NotoSansSinhala/full/ttf/NotoSansSinhala-Regular.ttf work correctly.
NotoSansSinhala/hinted/ttf/NotoSansSinhala-Regular.ttf and
NotoSansSinhala/unhinted/ttf/NotoSansSinhala-Regular.ttf show tofu (tofu with
code points)
